"Teng Natthapong" joined Khon Kaen candidates riding a motorized tricycle parade to campaign, backing "Lawyer Pok" to defend his Khon Kaen District 1 seat. Vendors teased him as the "next prime minister." He emphasized he is not worried by the gathering of influential factions.
On 3 Jan 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, prime ministerial candidate of the People’s Party, along with Lawyer Pok Weeranan Hodsri, candidate for Khon Kaen District 1 from the same party, held a campaign event using a procession of three-wheeled motorized vehicles around Khon Kaen city. They greeted locals to introduce the People’s Party’s policies for the upcoming election. The morning event was warmly received by people along the route. Natthapong expressed gratitude during the ride for the trust Khon Kaen voters showed in electing Lawyer Pok to parliament last time and asked for their support again to vote for Teng as the 33rd prime minister. The atmosphere was lively, with vendors and residents welcoming them warmly, taking photos, and praising, “People’s Party, keep fighting! We hope Teng becomes prime minister.”
Natthapong answered media questions about his confidence in this election, stating he came to Khon Kaen to extend New Year greetings and support Lawyer Pok’s campaign to defend his seat. Khon Kaen is a key area for the People’s Party with 11 constituencies and has granted the party three seats, increasing each year. He is confident that more Khon Kaen voters will support them this year. He assured that if the party forms the government, it will improve the country, starting by turning Khon Kaen “orange.” The party is fully prepared with quality candidates and a professional, knowledgeable management team. Their well-crafted policies are ready to implement. He invited the public to follow the People’s Party’s management team launch on 11 Jan 2026 GMT+7, which will be ready to govern if entrusted by voters.
Khon Kaen has a total of 11 constituencies. The People’s Party has nominated candidates for all seats as follows: Weeranan Hodsri District 1 (No. 3), Itthipon Chontharasi District 2 (No. 5), Chatchawan Apirakmankong District 3 (No. 4), Wutthirak Paengtakao District 4 (No. 8), Kanang Raknonsung District 5 (No. 2), Apichai Chatameena District 6 (No. 3), Weeraphat Meesakultippayanon District 7 (No. 6), Yodphet Udommuangphia District 8 (No. 1), Kamolchanok Suphanfai District 9 (No. 3), Niwat Saraprom District 10 (No. 3), Natthnicha Saraban District 11 (No. 3).
Natthapong also joined an event meeting supporters at Coffee Dela, where the atmosphere was lively and the café packed with fans. He greeted the crowd and expressed confidence that if the People’s Party forms the government, they will make Thailand better. Two years ago, everyone doubted the former Move Forward Party could become number one, yet they succeeded. Today, people doubt us forming a government, but we will do our best to become the government for all Thai people.
Natthapong added that in the last prime ministerial vote, the People’s Party’s key goal was to amend the constitution to reduce the power of independent agencies to prevent political persecution and unfair use of state power against citizens. He criticized Anutin’s claim that dissolving parliament was ordered by the People’s Party leader as mere orange-riding to gain legitimacy, noting the insiders never intended to amend the constitution as promised. This is why it is crucial to elect the People’s Party with a strong majority—to form a government and push policies benefiting the people, as they have no vested interests with any business tycoons. With good governance, Thailand can attract more talented and quality people to work together to build a country belonging to its citizens.
Natthapong is scheduled to speak at the "One Election, Change Khon Kaen's Future" rally at BirdGarden at 18:00 before traveling to assist candidates campaigning in Udonthani on 4 Jan 2026 GMT+7.
