The Election Commission emphasized there will be no early voting on referendum day and invited citizens who cannot vote at their registered home address to register for out-of-district voting from 3-5 January. Those who register early for the parliamentary election must register twice.
On 3 Jan 2026, the Election Commission (EC) announced that the nationwide referendum voting day is 8 Feb 2026. There will be no early voting, but if voters cannot cast their ballots at the polling station tied to their home registration on 8 Feb, they can register to vote outside their district or abroad between 3-5 January 2026.
They can register for parliamentary and out-of-district referendum voting at:https://boraservices.bora.dopa.go.th/election/outvote/
And register for parliamentary and out-of-country voting at:https://boraservices.bora.dopa.go.th/election/popout/
The EC reiterated that registration for the parliamentary election and the referendum voting are separate processes. In summary, voters must register twice. Early registrants for the parliamentary election must vote on 1 Feb 2026 between 08:00-17:00 at the location where they registered.
Those who register for out-of-district referendum voting must cast their ballots on 8 Feb 2026 between 08:00-17:00 at their registered location.
