Sasikarn, Deputy Spokesperson of Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, stressed that those who pre-register for the election and referendum must fully exercise their voting rights, warning that missing even a single day will result in a 2-year political disqualification.
On 3 January 2026, Ms. Sasikarn Wattana-chan, Deputy Spokesperson of Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, revealed that according to the Election Commission's announcement setting advance registration for voting both outside electoral districts and abroad, as well as for the referendum, from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, many citizens still misunderstand the procedures and dates for exercising their rights. She emphasized the important schedule to help citizens prepare, noting that advance voting is divided into two days:
1. Saturday, 1 February 2026, is the advance voting day for the House of Representatives election for those registered outside their electoral district or abroad.
2. Saturday, 8 February 2026, is the referendum voting day for those who registered to vote outside their area.
Citizens who have registered to vote in advance for both events must attend and vote on both days. Those on the voter list, especially those registered outside their electoral district, who fail to vote in the referendum on Saturday, 8 February 2026, and do not notify a valid reason or formally request to abstain according to legal procedures, will face a political rights restriction for up to two years.
"Political rights are a fundamental right reflecting citizens' participation. Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party urges citizens to verify dates and times and to fully and properly exercise their rights so every voice contributes constructively and securely to shaping the country's direction and future."
