At 17:30 on 3 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Dr. Warong Dechkitvikrom, leader of the Thai Pakdee party and candidate number 1 on the party list, led party candidates and members to pay homage at the King Taksin monument. He declared breaking the rice pot as a fight to save the nation from threats including Thai-Cambodian issues, shadow capital, and political groups aiming to undermine the military.
Dr. Warong said this fight to save the nation is a declaration from Thai Pakdee to break the rice pot, calling on party members and supporters who believe in the party’s approach to unite in determined struggle to ultimately celebrate victory together in parliament.
After the ceremony, Dr. Warong picked up an orange—one of the offerings—and ate it to mark an auspicious start and create a friendly atmosphere amid warmly supportive attendees.
Earlier that morning, Dr. Warong used a loudspeaker truck to deliver a speech proposing a model anti-corruption leadership policy at Victory Monument, focusing especially on the policy to abolish large banknotes to combat corruption.
