The Election Commission (EC) reports that over 15 days, 1,264,103 people have registered for early voting, including those outside the kingdom. On the first day of registration for out-of-district and overseas referendum voting, a total of 225,920 people registered.
On 4 January 2026, the Election Commission (EC) summarized the number of early voting registrations—within district, out of district, and overseas—over the 15-day registration period from 20 December 2025 to 3 January 2026, totaling 1,264,103 people. Of these, 4,837 registered for early voting within their district, 1,148,146 registered for out-of-district early voting, and 111,120 registered to vote overseas.
Citizens who have unavoidable duties preventing them from voting on 8 February, those residing overseas, and officials assigned to work on election day can register from 20 December 2025 until 5 January 2026.
If citizens who have registered for early voting change their minds or cannot vote on 1 February 2026—since early referendum voting is not available—they may cancel their early voting registration to vote alongside the referendum on 8 February 2026.
A total of 225,920 people have registered for out-of-district and overseas referendum voting.
Additionally, the EC reports that during the registration period from 3-5 January 2026 for out-of-district and overseas referendum voting, 225,920 people registered on the first day alone. Of these, 207,439 registered for out-of-district referendum voting, and 18,418 registered for overseas referendum voting.
There is no early voting for the referendum; voting occurs only on 8 February, the same day as the election. Therefore, citizens unable to vote at their home district may register to vote out of district between 3-5 January.
