"Ice Cream Parit" led candidates campaigning at Siam, promoting policies to help children and youth access quality education inside and outside schools. He announced a return on 11 Jan. Meanwhile, "Thanathorn" visited his hometown Samut Prakan, confident the Orange Flag will sweep the province again.
On 4 Jan 2026, Parit Wacharasindhu, spokesperson for the People’s Party, along with Seksit Yamsanguansak, candidate for Bangkok MP District 2 from the People’s Party, campaigned in the Siam Square-Banthat Thong area. Parit greeted and spoke with locals while encouraging them to exercise their voting rights.
Parit said his visit to Siam had two policy messages. First, Siam is a gathering place for students. The party wants to promote access for children and youth to quality education both in and outside schools. Beyond quality education access, learning should not end at school gates. They want to encourage children and youth to access learning outside the classroom, such as spaces for activities. They will promote the 'Open World Coupon' policy, providing coupons for children and youth to use for accessing extracurricular learning services, like arts or sports activities, helping them discover themselves more. Another important issue is improving quality of life for all Bangkok residents. Major problems include traffic, transportation, and PM 2.5 dust. Although Bangkok residents can elect the governor, current laws limit the governor’s tools to solve problems swiftly. If the party forms government, it will push a Bangkok Act to unlock tools for the governor to better solve residents’ problems.
Parit added that the People’s Party aims to serve citizens of all generations and believes its policies cover raising quality of life for everyone. When asked about their chances in 33 Bangkok constituencies, Parit said he did not want to judge on behalf of the people but that the party is doing its best to reach out. Having unveiled their policies thoughtfully to solve people’s problems, they believe they can govern effectively if given the chance.
Parit also said that around noon the People’s Party posted a video clip announcing that from tomorrow onwards, they will introduce the party’s management team by unveiling one member per day to show the public who the experienced personnel are to push the agenda forward. On 11 January, they will return to Samyan Mitrtown to present the management team’s vision.
Seksit said Siam is an important area with youth engaged in creative activities. Thai youth have great talent but lack opportunities, and the government insufficiently supports them. If the new government promotes T-POP to global stages, it would boost Thai youth potential.
In Samut Prakan, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, People’s Party campaign assistant, campaigned alongside four candidates for Samut Prakan MPs: Ratchanok Sukprasert (District 2, No.7), Nittaya Meesri (District 5, No.11), Chanasit Yodchim (District 4, No.2), and Theparit Phasi (District 8, No.9). They met people at Pruksa Village 15, Phraek Sa, then Kunthorn Market, Thepharak, Nilubon Village, Muang Mai Housing, and Bang Phli Housing Market. The atmosphere was lively with many asking for photos with Thanathorn and the candidates.
Samut Prakan was one of the provinces where the Move Forward Party achieved its greatest success in the 2023 election, winning all eight seats. Wuttinan Bunchu, MP for District 4, was one of the highest vote-getters with over 36,000 votes. This time, Wuttinan, who served two terms, decided to step down and pass the seat to a new generation: Chanasit, who has worked with the party since the Future Forward Party days, running for District 4. Wuttinan campaigned alongside him today and received positive responses, though some lamented losing the incumbent MP.
Thanathorn said Samut Prakan still warmly welcomes the People’s Party as in the past two elections. He is confident the Orange Flag will be raised in all districts again, because the people of Samut Prakan still believe in change.
"This time, Samut Prakan offers two new candidates for you to choose: Chanasit in District 4 and Theparit in District 8. Both are first-time MP candidates but have worked with the Samut Prakan team since the Future Forward Party era, collaborating continuously with MPs. Our party tradition is not to cling to individuals but to uphold shared ideology and work ethics—honesty, anti-corruption, straightforwardness. We believe the people of Samut Prakan will elect People’s Party MPs in all eight districts to form a people’s government. Move Forward, Thailand will not be the same. This time, vote for the people to establish a people's government successfully."
