Ministry of Education Organizes National Childrens Day 2026 to Bring Joy to Children in Border Provinces

Minister Narumon is preparing to organize National Children's Day 2026, promoting the theme "Good Learning, Good Morality," with four learning zones to support the comprehensive development of Thai children. She affirms that all border area schools have reopened completely, ensuring children do not experience educational interruptions.

On 5 Jan 2026 at 10:00 a.m., Professor Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education, held a press conference announcing the National Children's Day event for 2026. This year, the Ministry of Education will host a grand celebration under the theme "Good Learning, Good Morality," aiming to develop Thai children and youth holistically in intellect, morality, ethics, and life skills.

The Ministry of Education has continuously organized National Children's Day since 1955, recognizing children and youth as the nation's most important human resources. Child development must proceed in parallel across physical, intellectual, emotional, and moral aspects to nurture them into quality citizens for society and the country.

Professor Dr. Narumon added that this year’s National Children's Day activities are designed to allow children and youth to learn through real experiences, dividing the event space into four main zones:

Zone 1: Light of Wisdom

This zone aims to enhance knowledge in history, civic duties, international relations, science, technology, and educational pathways. It also provides children and youth the opportunity to learn about government agencies' operations and Thailand’s role on the international stage.

Zone 2: Creative Earth Lab

This zone promotes analytical thinking, creativity, and innovation through experimental activities focusing on the environment, natural resources, and appropriate technology use.

Zone 3: Sufficiency for Happiness

This zone conveys the philosophy of sufficiency economy, balanced living, vocational learning, and sustainable happiness.

Zone 4: Water Wonder Zone (A Small Home in the Big Forest)

This zone raises awareness about water resources, forests, and the environment through fun activities that foster a conservation mindset.

The event will also feature performances by artists, actors, exemplary youth, and inspirational activities, with over 100,000 free gifts for children and youth throughout the event. Online activities will allow children and parents to participate via social media, with chances to win special prizes. Participants can scan a QR code to locate National Children's Day 2026 activities nationwide.

Professor Dr. Narumon stated that besides the central event, the Ministry of Education has assigned provincial education offices nationwide to collaborate with local agencies to organize National Children's Day activities in every province. This ensures all children and youth have equitable access to activities, while upholding the nation, religion, and monarchy, integrating with educational policies.

"National Children's Day is not just a day for fun but a crucial platform to instill lifelong learning, morality, and social responsibility, preparing Thai children and youth to become key contributors to the country's stable and sustainable development. The Ministry of Education invites children and parents to join the fun and learning experiences at the National Children's Day 2026 event on Saturday, 10 Jan 2026, at the Ministry of Education from 07:00 to 16:00. Let us create smiles, happiness, and inspiration for Thai children while learning and enjoying together as a family," said Professor Dr. Narumon. .Professor Dr. Narumon said

Additionally, Professor Dr. Narumon revealed the situation of schools in the border provinces affected by previous unrest. She confirmed that all schools have now fully reopened, as the Ministry of Education has continuously planned and prepared based on past lessons and experiences, ensuring that children in border areas have not experienced any interruption in their education.
