Democrat Party Urges Thais to Use Early Voting to Shape the Countrys Future

The Democrat Party spokesperson invites Thai citizens to determine the country's future by registering for "early voting" before the registration system closes at midnight today, 5 Jan 2026.

On 5 Jan 2026, Mr. Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, spokesperson for the Democrat Party (DP), stated that until midnight today, eligible voters who have commitments or are unable to vote on 8 Feb are urged to promptly register for "early voting." The Election Commission (EC) has set today as the final day for registration.

Regarding registration to vote in referendums outside constituencies and abroad, the EC opened registration from 3 January and will accept registrations until 24:00 today (5 Jan) as well.

"To ensure every citizen’s voice matters in determining the country's direction, the Democrat Party supports everyone to verify their eligibility and register for early voting. Once registered, voters can cast their ballots on 1 Feb 2026," said Mr. Pongsakorn. Mr. Pongsakorn added.

The Democrat Party believes that heightened political awareness and united participation in voting will be a fundamental pillar in building a strong democracy and the starting point for structural reforms to sustainably advance Thailand's development.
