Pheu Thai visits Ayutthaya, offering farmers a 30% profit guarantee. Targets jasmine rice at 15,000 baht per ton and white rice at 10,000 baht per ton, along with plans to issue fertilizer coupons.
On 5 January 2026 at Charoensap Permpoon Rice Mill in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai's prime ministerial candidate, together with Mr. Julapan Amornwiwat, party leader, and other party leaders, visited to listen to the concerns of farming communities in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, and Nonthaburi provinces. The atmosphere was lively, with locals warmly welcoming them and presenting flowers.
Mr. Yotsanan stated that Pheu Thai prioritizes the livelihood issues of farmers, with the main policy being a “30% profit guarantee” to ensure stable income for farmers. This will be alongside development of the 30-baht universal healthcare scheme and educational support. He urged voters to support Pheu Thai on 8 February to help implement these policies. Meanwhile, Mr. Julapan added that the target prices are 15,000 baht per ton for jasmine rice and 10,000 baht per ton for white rice. They also plan to issue fertilizer and seed coupons to help reduce production costs.
In addition, Mr. Yotsanan expressed confidence in winning all parliamentary seats in the three provinces and plans to unveil a new set of policies on 8 January targeting communities still struggling and undecided. Addressing political issues about the “hidden party” narrative or claims of pre-selecting the prime minister, Mr. Yotsanan denied these allegations, urging all parties to compete based on policies for the public’s benefit. He emphasized that Pheu Thai is committed to strictly abiding by election laws.
