Rakchanok and Kittipong reaffirm the Pracha Chart Party's firm stance alongside the military, with clear, systematic policies to elevate the armed forces' capabilities, denying any intent to amend Section 112.
On 5 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, along with Lt. Kittipong Piyawanno and Air Chief Marshal Purithat Chankaew, Pracha Chart Party list MPs candidates, campaigned for "Lawyer Jam" Sasinan Thammanitinun, candidate for Bangkok's 11th District (Saimai area, excluding Or Ngoen subdistrict). They toured via campaign truck starting at Saimai 56 intersection, promoting party policies and encouraging voter turnout. The public responded positively.
"Ice" complains that IOs focus solely on amending Section 112 and belittle the military.
Ms. Rakchanok addressed concerns about public opposition during campaigning, saying such encounters with unfriendly attitudes or difficult questions are normal in campaigning, experienced by all parties, not just Pracha Chart. The intensity of hostility varies.
She noted a clear recurring question about whether she works in parliament and why she focuses on amending Section 112. She insisted that hardly anyone discusses this issue in the election; it is others who label Pracha Chart with it. In parliament, the party has pushed many laws, like labor protection acts.
"The attacks against us stem from a successful information campaign that convinces the public we only want to amend Section 112 and belittle the military. Yet, I believe Pracha Chart is the only party in recent years that stands with lower-ranking soldiers when they are harmed. Which other party supports soldiers abused or beaten and stands by them?" . She said to judge politicians’ sincerity, observe their voting records. Pracha Chart proposed laws to bring military corruption or abuse cases to civilian courts because military courts often let comrades judge and fail to meet standards for proper punishment.
"I stand with the abused soldiers and lower ranks consistently. Whether they like me or not is irrelevant; I stand for justice and will support anyone treated unfairly. Look at politicians who attack us, accusing us of belittling the military — see how they voted. Regarding the Nong May case, everyone was saddened. See who truly advocates for abused soldiers." Ms. Rakchanok added.
Declining to name any party as ambiguous, she emphasized not voting for "Sia Nu".
Asked if the party has been targeted by authorities, Ms. Rakchanok said she might be overthinking. Before the 2014 coup during Yingluck Shinawatra’s government, then-General Prayut Chan-o-cha signaled increased military communication with the public, denying coup plans but eventually staging one, freezing Thailand for over a decade. Though Prayut is gone, his legacy remains, including the 2017 constitution and worsening corruption index.
Asked about cooperating with Bhumjaithai Party, she said the party leader clearly stated that no Pracha Chart MPs will support Anutin Charnvirakul, regardless of election results. When asked about ambiguous parties, she deferred to the leadership, saying she cannot answer.
Asked if she loves the military, Ms. Rakchanok responded that, like any profession, there are good and bad individuals. She stands with fellow soldiers and their families who face injustice, ready to support them regardless of their feelings toward her.
Lt. Kittipong, responsible for the party’s military policies, said he has worked as a military commission advisor, assisting soldiers in issues like abuse. As a former officer, he affirmed that most soldiers support the Pracha Chart Party, evident in the 2023 election results where many soldiers trusted the Move Forward Party, with only some trying to create division between Pracha Chart and the military.
Regarding why the military is needed, he answered clearly that the party has always supported the armed forces, seeing them as necessary to protect national sovereignty. The party’s policies concretely support this, considering budgets, feasibility, structure, and laws, including welfare for soldiers, capability upgrades, development through offset policies, and defense industry promotion. No other party has presented such concrete proposals. Thus, accusations of being hostile to the military are baseless.
Mr. Sasinan added that Pracha Chart has many policies, including military reform, economic livelihood, SME support, education, and welfare across all age groups. The party will continue presenting these to the public and urges everyone to pay attention to these important policies for national development and improving citizens’ quality of life.
