Chaiwat and Jes, accompanied by Bangkok MP candidates from the Rakchat Party, appealed for votes from Bang Rak residents, declaring the era of selling false dreams and creating hatred is over. They noted a backlash against parties that belittle the military, with people remembering "Uncle Tu" as it was a time of national stability.
At 11:00 a.m. on 6 January 2026, at Kitti Saint Louis Market in Bang Rak district, Bangkok, Mr. Chaiwat Thanakamanusorn, leader of the Rakchat Party and second prime ministerial candidate, and Mr. Jes Thonawanik, first prime ministerial candidate, led executives and party-list MP candidates such as Mr. Chanin Pinthong, Mr. Chaiporn Jirawinijnan, and Mr. Ratphoom Wallikul to campaign in support of Mr. Adam Chinrattanaphisit, candidate for Bangkok MP, District 1, number 15, and Mr. Chuti Pluemrungrueng, candidate for Bangkok MP, District 2, number 10. The atmosphere was lively.
Mr. Chaiwat spoke about the campaign atmosphere, noting a trend of dissent among younger people who are questioning and pushing back against some political parties that attack and belittle the military, which causes public dissatisfaction. Many people expressed nostalgia for the peaceful and orderly atmosphere during the "Uncle Tu" government over the past nine years. In contrast, the current situation with three prime ministers in three years has not resolved economic problems or border security issues.
"We should focus on solving the country’s problems instead of politically attacking to create conflict. Some parties ignore real issues such as selling out the country or Cambodia's relationship where Hun Sen is called 'Uncle,' causing border problems. Instead, they focus on inciting hatred toward the military. Rakchat Party affirms its stance to reduce social conflict in Thailand."
Mr. Jes added that campaigning with glamorous rhetoric or promising giveaways no longer creates impact because the public is now aware and demands accountability for unfulfilled promises. Today, people want clarity in job creation, income generation, and grassroots economic development. Patriotism, religion, and the monarchy are important to the people. Children and youth should not be taught to destroy the country or use unethical methods to harm political rivals, as ultimately, such damage will harm the nation’s future.
