Bhumjaithai Pleased with Improved Response in Bangkok Campaign Supamas Reveals Supajee and Akniti to Join Campaigning on 11 Jan

Supamas revealed that on 11 January, Supajee and Akniti will join the campaign in Bangkok. She expressed delight that Bhumjaithai's popularity in Bangkok has grown in this election round,

At 09:48 on 6 January 2026 at the Government House, Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and a Bhumjaithai party leader overseeing Bangkok constituencies, disclosed the election campaign plan. On 11 January, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mr. Akniti Nititandprapas, Commerce Minister Mrs. Supajee Sutamphan, and the party's party-list candidates will campaign in Bangkok in locations where they can directly engage with the public to communicate party policies and boost confidence. Party leaders have previously also joined the campaign efforts.

Earlier, Bhumjaithai confirmed that if it returns to government, Mr. Akniti, Mrs. Supajee, and Foreign Minister Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, as the party's second-ranked prime ministerial candidates, will return as Deputy Prime Ministers.

Ms. Supamas said that this election campaign has received very positive public response, noticeably different from the 2019 and 2023 elections. In this election, Bangkok residents know Bhumjaithai better and recognize party leader Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as the first-ranked prime ministerial candidate more widely. They appreciate Mr. Anutin's loyalty to the nation's core institutions. The party promotes policies to build fences and walls and fights for the country’s interests, which, while not populist, are duties the government must fulfill. These policies have been widely discussed, as have other initiatives, particularly the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" program.

Regarding expectations for the number of MPs in Bangkok, Ms. Supamas stated that the party hopes to win in every district. The candidates are well motivated and lead in campaign diligence. They have received feedback from voters who previously did not vote but plan to vote this time.

Addressing rumors about firearm use in this election due to the short campaign period, Ms. Supamas said she has never heard of such incidents and confirmed there have been none in Bangkok. Campaigning here involves building momentum through extensive public engagement and heavy use of social media as an air war.
