Thanathorn Emphasizes Head Teng of Peoples Party Will Not Vote for Anutin Again, Urges Stop to Fake News

Thanathorn campaigned for the Ubon Ratchathani MP candidate for the 8 February election under the People's Party banner, pledging to build a better Thailand and urging an end to fake news. He reaffirmed that the People's Party leader 'Head Teng' will not vote for Anutin again.

On 6 January 2026, Mr. Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, a campaign assistant for the People's Party, traveled to Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, to campaign for “Pookpoon,” Miss Puttachad Jintawet, the People's Party candidate for Ubon Ratchathani MP in constituency 4 covering Warin Chamrap District and Samrong District (specifically Samrong, Khok Kong, and Bon subdistricts). The atmosphere in front of the Warin Chamrap municipal market was warm, with local residents gathering to meet and support Thanathorn and the candidate in this electoral contest.

Thanathorn spoke about the People's Party's policies aimed at improving the quality of life for Ubon residents, including providing clean drinking water and increasing the elderly allowance to 1,500 baht per month by 2030. During the campaign, some asked if the People's Party would nominate Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as prime minister again if elected. Thanathorn responded that this election is very important because whoever wins will become prime minister without Senate involvement, unlike the 2023 election when Mr. Pita Limjaroenrat of the Move Forward Party was blocked from becoming prime minister. He confirmed the People's Party will not nominate Anutin as prime minister again, as declared by the party leader Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut.

Additionally, local reporters asked Thanathorn about the various false information attacks against the People's Party. Thanathorn said the party has grown larger and more popular, which has led opponents to try to undermine its credibility. He urged the public to remain steadfast, not be swayed by slander, and to have confidence in the People's Party for the 8 February 2026 election.

When asked if he had a message for those spreading false information, Thanathorn said he urged those individuals to stop sowing hatred in society and instead work together to build a better Thailand that allows the people to make their own decisions.
