"Theng" visits Rayong, where he previously won all parliamentary seats, urging the public to be confident in his readiness to address livelihood challenges and fully support farmers and industrial workers.
On 6 January 2026, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People’s Party, campaigned in Rayong Province, starting at Prasae community, a historic trading area and a key eastern waterway trade center of Thailand. He then proceeded to the sacred Ton Sai Shrine, the revered site for Rayong residents, followed by visits to the Shrine of Krom Luang Chumphon, Thung Prong Thong, and the Prasae River, receiving a warm welcome from locals, as he had previously won all parliamentary seats in the province under the Move Forward Party banner.
The People’s Party leader pointed out that Rayong is a diverse city with over 12 industrial estates and high-value agricultural areas. Currently, Thai farmers face encroachment by "foreign-run agricultural hubs" controlling market mechanisms. He proposed solutions including upgrading GAP and organic agriculture standards, with government support for certification fees to help Thai products compete globally and overcome tariff barriers. He also suggested establishing a contract management center with malls and government to enable farmers to secure fair, guaranteed incomes through advance purchase agreements. Additionally, a 50,000-baht voucher for model factories would be provided to farmers and SMEs to trial new product manufacturing without upfront factory investment.
Mr. Natthapong emphasized the party’s clear political stance: the People’s Party has no backing from big capitalists or shadow financiers, with the people as the sole leaders. He stressed that the 8 February election is crucial to truly reflect the people's voice, as there will be no senators interfering with the selection of the prime minister anymore.
