Yotsanan met with representatives of the Transport Association, highlighting the need to amend laws to strengthen the logistics sector and promote Thailand as a key hub linking Asia. Operators proposed fixing diesel prices at 25 baht per liter.
On 6 January 2026, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai Party’s prime ministerial candidate, along with Mr. Suriya Jungroongruangkit, the party's election director, held discussions with representatives of the Transport Association to hear problems and formulate solutions for the country’s logistics system. Mr. Yotsanan emphasized that Thailand has high potential to be a central link connecting Asia from China to Singapore. If well managed, it would reduce expenses and attract massive foreign investment. The party thus focuses on revising laws to align with all aspects of transportation for maximum efficiency.
Meanwhile, Mr. Suriya stated that the party prioritizes integrating rail, road, and port systems to establish organized regional distribution centers. However, transport operators submitted a key proposal requesting the party to adopt clear energy support policies, especially fixing diesel prices at 25 baht per liter, to reduce costs and strengthen the transport sector’s ability to drive Thailand’s economy forward.
