Somsak teamed up with Anucha to campaign in Saraburi, assisting Pheu Thai candidates by appealing for villagers' votes and urging them to choose both the candidates and the party to advance policies. Meanwhile, residents requested the continuation of the 30-baht healthcare scheme and the resolution of informal debts.
On 7 January 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that on 6 January, Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, former Minister of Public Health and Pheu Thai party list candidate, along with Mr. Anucha Nakasai, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and candidate for Chai Nat province constituency 1, campaigned to support Mr. Sombat Amnaka, Pheu Thai candidate for Saraburi constituency 2, number 8. In the afternoon, they canvassed at Talthong Market and Maruay Market, receiving a warm welcome from vendors and residents who presented numerous flowers and garlands. Ms. Natthida Thepsuthin, Pheu Thai party list candidate, also joined the campaign.
They also campaigned at Phueng Ruang Market to support Mr. Taweechit Patchana, Pheu Thai candidate for Saraburi constituency 1, number 9, accompanied by Ms. Siripatchara Juntheerapanich, candidate for constituency 3 of the party.
During the campaign, local residents responded positively, requesting the continuation of the 30-baht healthcare program since everyone benefits from it. They also supported the debt relief policy, seeing it as helpful in easing citizens' financial burdens. The debt relief favored by residents focused on addressing informal debts, as some admitted they had such debts due to poor business conditions. They believed this policy would help break the cycle of informal debt, aligning with Pheu Thai’s plan to offer low-interest loans of 50,000 baht per person to pay off informal debts.
Mr. Somsak emphasized choosing both the candidates and the party, urging voters to select Pheu Thai, number 9, and their local candidates to help drive policies forward for the people.
