The Digital Television Association, together with partners, invites interested citizens to become “Election Result Reporting Volunteers” providing real-time updates on 8 February 2026.
On 7 January 2025, Mr. Diao Worattantakun, Secretary of the Digital Television Association (Thailand), along with Second Lieutenant Phasakorn Siriphakiyaporn, Deputy Secretary of the Election Commission (EC); Mr. Nantasit Nitmetta, President of the Online News Producers Association; Mr. Wanchai Tantivitayapitak, Director of the Public Broadcasting Service of Thailand (Thai PBS); Mr. Kittisak Saadeam, Director of Data and Information Technology (BDI); Associate Professor Dr. Prinya Thewanaritkul, Democracy and Civic Engagement Lecturer at Thammasat University; and Mr. Yingship Atchanon, Director of iLaw and Vote62, led a press conference announcing cooperation to report the 2026 general election and referendum results (in real-time), declaring readiness for the election day on 8 February 2026.
This collaboration involves the Digital Television Association (Thailand), the Online News Producers Association, the Election Commission, Thai PBS, and partners from government, private sectors, and the public. Their shared goal is to deliver the fastest and most accurate vote counts immediately after polls close at 5:00 PM. The real-time reporting operation will commence instantly via a network of more than 10,000 volunteers spread nationwide, managed by a strong team of citizen journalists from Thai PBS and VOTE62 data experts. This effort also integrates young people, including students and faculty from Thammasat University, who will help verify accuracy to ensure viewers see the first vote counts as soon as counting begins. The focus is not only on speed but also on accuracy.
This reporting effort will be enhanced by direct data connections from the Election Commission, with support from major data institutions processing nationwide information to provide all media outlets with a unified data set. This ensures the most complete and unofficial election results report until vote counting is fully completed.
This national mission depends on critical support from telecommunications leaders providing internet infrastructure to ensure smooth, fast data transmission from all polling stations. Volunteer media partners will also assist in making this election result reporting more transparent and efficient.
This reporting effort will gain even greater strength with support from Thai citizens. Everyone interested is invited to join as “Volunteer Election Result Reporting Partners” to help make this election the most transparent ever. Registration to reserve a convenient polling station is now open by scanning the QR Code or clicking the link.https://www.election.in.th/register
