M.L. Korakit Kasemsri, Palang Pracharath Party's prime ministerial candidate, promotes the "Advanced Conscripts" policy through four strategies and three models to enhance military personnel capabilities, combining efforts to develop defense technology and establish sustainable security.
On 7 Jan 2026 GMT+7, M.L. Korakit Kasemsri, Palang Pracharath Party's second-ranked prime ministerial candidate, revealed a key security policy. The party is pushing the "Military 43" strategy to elevate the capabilities of conscripts across the three military branches as follows.
1. AI & Digital Master: Transform conscripts into experts in digital technology and artificial intelligence, creating new income opportunities post-service.
2. High-Tech Specialist: Train skills unavailable in general schools, such as operating and maintaining tactical drones, submarine engineering, and handling advanced weaponry.
3. Future Education: Upgrade educational qualifications within military camps, equating national service to continuing formal education.
4. Professional Soldier: Establish special pathways for qualified individuals to become professional military officers immediately, building a professional army.
M.L. Korakit added that sustainable security must stem from indigenous technology. The party proposed a Triple Helix model to drive the defense industry, consisting of:
1. Universities collaborating on research and development to create weapons and cyber systems suited to Thailand's environment.
2. Private sector partnering in manufacturing, allowing businesses to join the weapon and military equipment production chain.
3. The military applying these technologies in practice to reduce imports, cut budget outflows abroad, and generate domestic employment.
This policy will foster unprecedented collaboration among government, private sector, and educational institutions to make conscripts the nation's most valuable human resource and position Thailand as a regional leader in security technology.
