The Pheu Thai Party launched an offensive in northern Thailand as Yotsanan visited Lamphun, appealing to northern voters to elect a northern Prime Minister and promoting the "30 Baht AI" policy to upgrade the public health system.
On 9 January 2026, Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai's prime ministerial candidate, along with his team visited Lamphun's Kad Lamphun Chatuchak market to support Chainanong Phupisit, the candidate for MP in Lamphun Constituency 1, in his campaign. Yotsanan spoke on stage reminiscing about 20 years ago when he campaigned in the north alongside Thaksin Shinawatra, which led to the 30 Baht Universal Healthcare policy. This policy evolved into "Care Anywhere" under the Pheu Thai government. Recently, he announced an upgrade to "30 Baht AI," enabling citizens to consult doctors via video call and receive medicines at home immediately through an intelligent system. He also reaffirmed full support for the welfare of community health volunteers (Aor Sor Mor), ensuring they work with dignity and happiness.
When asked about party members transferring in and out, Yotsanan explained that, in fact, it reflects Thai Rak Thai supporters returning to Pheu Thai. The original members remain intact, and new young members have joined to strengthen the team. He urged Lamphun voters to support Pheu Thai in both constituencies to send a northern leader to serve as Prime Minister, saying Thailand can change if Lamphun chooses both the candidates and the party to send Yotsanan to the premiership.
