Thai Sang Thai Proposes Education Revolution Policy: Shorter Study Time, Free Education Through Bachelors Degree, No Student Loan Debt

Thai Sang Thai presents a Children's Day gift by promoting the "Education Revolution" policy, which shortens study duration by 3-4 years, offers free education through bachelor's degree, and eliminates student loan debt.

On 9 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Khun Ying Sudarat Keyuraphan, leader of Thai Sang Thai Party and prime ministerial candidate, visited Satri Witthaya 2 School in Lat Phrao district to meet teachers and students, listen to their opinions, and present the party's educational policies aimed at transforming the future of Thai children. The atmosphere was lively and warmly welcoming.

Khun Ying Sudarat emphasized her commitment to easing the heavy tuition burden and the long-standing cycle of debt that has affected parents for years. The core of this initiative is to promote quality free education through to a bachelor's degree, raising support beyond the current legal provision of 12 years of education to full care until graduation.

Thai Sang Thai Party affirmed that the state must fully fund genuine free education to ensure all Thai children can access higher education opportunities without worrying about tuition fees. This will directly reduce social inequality and build a strong foundation for the country.

The policy will shorten the total study duration in primary, secondary, and university levels by about 3-4 years, enabling Thai youth to graduate with a bachelor's degree by age 18. This reduction does not cut essential content but enhances learning efficiency to be concise and focused, allowing students to enter the workforce and start earning sooner, reducing parents’ financial burdens and increasing the supply of skilled labor to the economy more quickly.

Khun Ying Sudarat also announced the goal to end student loan debt for Thai children. With the state covering costs through bachelor's degree and the shorter study period, the need for educational loans will decrease, breaking the debt cycle from early working age and giving young people greater financial freedom to establish themselves and build their futures faster than previous generations.

Teaching and learning will operate through an education voucher system that allocates budget authority directly to students, allowing them freedom to choose institutions or fields of study. Curricula will be revised to emphasize practical skills for the modern world rather than focusing solely on degrees. Online technology platforms and expert teachers will be used to enhance capabilities and ensure all children across regions access the same quality standards.
