Pitipong Advocates Independent Politics Model, Vows to Fight Grey Capital, Scammers, and Public Livelihood Issues

Pitipong promotes the "independent politics" model, declaring a fight in three battles against grey capital, scammers, and public livelihood issues.

On 9 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Pitipong Temcharoen, leader of the Pentham Party, addressed Thailand's current political crisis, stating that the main reason the government cannot overcome crises—whether floods, disasters, or economic livelihood problems—is the political structure where national leaders are usually career politicians or military officers lacking true professional management expertise. As a disciple of Professor Dr. Pridi Banomyong, a senior statesman, he emphasized that the Pentham Party’s approach is based on the principles laid by Professor Pridi, especially strict adherence to Article 3 of the Constitution, which states that sovereignty belongs to the Thai people, with the King exercising that power through Parliament, the Cabinet, and the courts. The rule of law must be genuinely applied to govern the country. This is the sole principle that will allow Thais to live together peacefully and has been his guiding principle as Professor Pridi’s student.

He emphasized the fight on three fronts.

"The key to politics that can solve the country’s crisis is independence. In the past, major political parties often have political costs" that they must bear, which means when in power they cannot fully speak the truth or solve problems because they are tied to the interests of supporting capital groups behind the scenes. Large parties cannot address many issues because of political costs they must protect. The Pentham Party has none of this. We are an independent party, using our own resources, not tied to vested interests, not relying on grey capital or gambling capital. This makes us brave enough to confront every problem. Thailand is currently facing a major internal war that must be urgently addressed: the war against grey capital and scam gangs infiltrating politics, and the war for the livelihood of the people.

Not focusing on superficial populism.

Mr. Pitipong also stated that the Pentham Party has gathered a team of professional managers, including experts from world-class institutions like MIT and international organizations, volunteering to systematically tackle these crises. He compared the major political parties to rice or instant noodles that people reluctantly eat just to fill their stomachs for the day, while the Pentham Party volunteers to be "organic side dishes" which may not emphasize superficial populism but focus on quality and the long-term health of the country’s structure. We do not emphasize populism but quality. We volunteer to be the ingredients for the people to cook the country’s future. We ask voters to support number 45, the Pentham Party, as a choice for those who want to see real change.
