“Wannor - Tawee” reaffirmed the Prachachat Party’s stance, promoting clean (white) politics without reliance on grey capital, highlighting the party as a space for multiculturalism, stressing the mission to “build people” for the nation’s future, and inviting Thai citizens to vote on February 8.
On 9 January 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Wannor Mutah, Advisory Chairman of the Prachachat Party, along with Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, Party Leader and former Minister of Justice; Associate Professor Dr. Rungrueng Pityasiri, Head of the Prachachat Party’s Economic Team; Mr. Worawi Makudi, party leader; and others visited Nong Chok District, Bangkok, at Soi Phadung Phan 29, Phadung Phan Road, Nong Chok subdistrict. They met with religious leaders and local residents, welcomed by Mr. Pakdee Ma-ae, Vice President of the Southern Hajj Operators Association, who led local community and religious groups.
Mr. Wannor Mutah, Advisory Chairman of the Prachachat Party, addressed the crowd, emphasizing the importance of democratic elections and urging citizens to exercise their right to vote for Members of Parliament (MPs) on 8 February to elect good representatives who will care for the welfare of society and the nation.
Emphasizing white capital
Mr. Wannor Mutah stated that every citizen has a crucial role in shaping the country’s future, especially in this election with two ballots: one for constituency MPs and one for party-list MPs. The Prachachat Party is fielding candidates in only 15 constituencies, mainly in the southern border provinces, while focusing on party-list candidates nationwide for broader support. The party explained its limited constituencies due to being newly established but has a clear stance.
“Running a political party requires capital, but we emphasize clean (white) capital. We reject grey or nearly black capital because our goal is to protect justice, safeguard religion, oversee education, and defend all ethnic groups.” Mr. Wannor said.
Highlighting Prachachat’s mission to build people
Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong revealed the party’s policy approach focusing on addressing inequalities and the way of life, especially for Muslim communities, through three key strategies. He said the Prachachat Party adheres to the principle of “Prachachat builds people.” This approach emphasizes investing in children and youth as the most valuable resource, with three main policies: 1) Interest-free finance aiming to create a financial system aligned with Islamic principles to reduce burdens and promote fairness; 2) Halal social, economic, and food systems: promoting halal as a key mechanism not only for food but for lifestyle and the overall economy; 3) Reducing inequality through encouraging donations and systematic resource management to ensure widespread income distribution.
The party leader stressed that caring for children from an early age is extremely important, drawing parallels to Islamic principles that emphasize caring for orphans and developing youth into quality adults. “We want to create adults with mature minds, not adults with childlike minds managing the country.” Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong concluded.
Confident that people are interested in policies
In the evening, Police Colonel Tawee, Associate Professor Dr. Rungrueng Pityasiri, Head of the Prachachat Party’s Economic Team, and others visited Hua Mak, Bang Kapi, Bangkok, to listen and exchange views with Muslim businesspeople and halal restaurant operators.
The party leader spoke about today’s fieldwork and meetings with the public, noting that from experiencing citizens’ sentiments in various areas, the most important concern now is “policy.” Policies that can truly improve people’s lives and well-being.
Belief that locals want to see policy responses
Police Colonel Tawee also revealed that although some might think other factors affect decisions, in reality, people are highly politically aware and want policies that address the future, especially in two main aspects: 1. Upholding principles and identity: citizens want political parties that protect religious principles and promote peaceful coexistence based on differing beliefs to pass on a good society to future generations—this is a core value the Prachachat Party has always upheld.
And 2. Solving economic and livelihood problems: the party recognizes that continuing with the traditional bureaucratic system may not meet people’s needs. Therefore, Prachachat focuses on a new economic direction emphasizing quick solutions alongside laying long-term foundations to improve quality of life.
“We want citizens to clearly see how the party will solve their problems—both rights and freedoms as well as well-being. Prachachat is ready to represent and drive these policies into concrete results.” Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong said.
