The King Grants Special Military Ranks to 27 Soldiers Killed on the Thai-Cambodian Border

The Royal Gazette published a proclamation that the King has graciously granted special military ranks to soldiers who died while performing their duties in the Thai-Cambodian border area, totaling 27 individuals.


On 10 January 2026, the Royal Gazette website published the Prime Minister's Office announcement regarding the special military rank conferment dated 9 January 2026. It states that the King has graciously bestowed special military ranks upon army personnel who died while on duty during an emergency situation in the Thai-Cambodian border area, totaling 27 individuals, as follows:


1. Sergeant Major Satawat Sujarit was promoted to Major General effective 8 December 2025.

2. Sergeant Major Ananda Udorn was promoted to Major General effective 9 December 2025.

3. Sergeant Major Damrongkiat Kaewkrajang was promoted to Major General.

4. Sergeant Major Tawirat Rattanaburi was promoted to Major General.

These two were promoted effective 13 December 2025.


5. Sergeant Major Kritsada Hansupho was promoted to Major General effective 15 December 2025.

6. Sergeant Major Pornsak Iamsaard was promoted to Major General effective 17 December 2025.


7. Sergeant Major Samreng Khlangprakone was promoted to Major General effective 20 December 2025.

8. Sergeant Major Pongsakorn Nakthongdee was promoted to Major General effective 6 December 2025.

9. Sergeant Second Class Jirawat Mungklaang was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel effective 9 December 2025.

10. Sergeant Major Peerayut Nawilai Charoen was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel effective 27 December 2025.

11. Sergeant Chawakon Dechkuntod was promoted to Major effective 9 December 2025.

12. Sergeant Patchara Yamtaeng-on was promoted to Major effective 12 December 2025.

13. Sergeant Apisit Bunnak was promoted to Major effective 14 December 2025.


14. Sergeant Kampanat Thongsaeng was promoted to Major effective 22 December 2025.

15. Sergeant Major Wutchakorn Thothong was promoted to Second Lieutenant effective 11 December 2025.


16. Private Therdsak Srilachai was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

17. Private Wayu Kwansuea was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

These two were promoted effective 9 December 2025.


18. Private Chanchai Phadungchok was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

19. Private Thanarat Janprat was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

These two were promoted effective 10 December 2025.


20. Private Thanakorn Singhachat was promoted to Second Lieutenant effective 11 December 2025.


21. Private Kritdikon Soirayao was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

22. Private Mustakim Majema was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

These two were promoted effective 13 December 2025.


23. Private Wasan Khanhuaton was promoted to Second Lieutenant effective 17 December 2025.

24. Private Panupat Saorsa was promoted to Second Lieutenant effective 20 December 2025.

25. Private Thanaphat Nantawong was promoted to Second Lieutenant effective 23 December 2025.


26. Private Patipat Sorpradit was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

27. Private Thiwatwan Pholyiam was promoted to Second Lieutenant.

These two were promoted effective 6 December 2025.
