The Election Commission (EC) conducted field observations of the delivery of ballots and election materials for the Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) elections in Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram, Nonthaburi, and Phitsanulok provinces prior to the official voting day on 11 January 2026 GMT+7.
On 10 January 2026 GMT+7 at 08:30, at the Tha Sai Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Samut Sakhon province, Mr. Narong Kanwarin, Chairman of the Election Commission, traveled to Samut Sakhon to observe the delivery process.
He oversaw the delivery of ballots and election materials, as well as preparations for setting up polling stations for the election of Subdistrict Administrative Organization council members and chiefs scheduled for Sunday, 11 January 2026 GMT+7. In Samut Sakhon, elections will be held for the SAO chief and council members across 8 constituencies, one person per constituency, totaling 8 seats, with 37 polling stations. Afterwards, the EC chairman went to observe at Bang Kaeo Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Samut Songkhram province to monitor the orderly conduct of election preparations in every step, ensuring the process is honest, fair, and lawful.
Meanwhile, in Nonthaburi province, Mr. Anan Suwannarat, Election Commissioner, and his team observed the delivery of ballots and election materials and preparations for polling stations at the meeting room of Om Kret Subdistrict Administrative Organization. They monitored the election process to ensure every step is conducted honestly, fairly, and legally for the election of SAO council members and chiefs set for 11 January 2026 GMT+7.
At the same time, Mr. Saeng Bunmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission, led a delegation to observe the delivery of ballots and election materials and preparations for polling stations at Wang Thong Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Phitsanulok province. They ensured the election process was proceeding smoothly for the election of SAO council members and chiefs, and encouraged citizens to vote tomorrow from 08:00 to 17:00 GMT+7.
