Anutin Joins Meal with Brave Soldiers Families, Then Stops at Sriyan for His Favorite Noodles

Prime Minister "Noo" opened Government House to welcome children, warmly sitting in the Prime Minister's chair and sharing a meal with children and grandchildren of brave soldiers. After the Children's Day activities, he stopped at Sriyan to enjoy his regular noodle shop, where a vendor encouraged him to keep fighting and continue the Half-Half Plus scheme.

On 10 Jan 2026 GMT+7 at Government House, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, co-chaired the opening of the National Children's Day event for 2026 alongside his wife, Thanon Niramis. The atmosphere was lively with children crowding for photos, and a young boy running up to hug the Prime Minister, calling him “Uncle Noo.” The Prime Minister laughed joyfully and posed for photos, while another boy told him, “I support you because you are decisive. I want you to be Prime Minister for another term.”

At 12:00 on the first floor of Building 44, Secretariat Office of the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister and his wife had lunch with 43 family members from 21 families who lost loved ones in the Thai-Cambodian conflict. The menu included seafood fried rice, fried rice with salted fish and boiled egg, basil fried rice, Drunken Spaghetti, Bonchon chicken, cake, steamed buns, and ice cream. The Prime Minister sat beside Miss Meesuk, daughter of Sergeant Major Satthawat, chatted with her, and called Sergeant Major Theerayut Sijuyjai's son, saying, “Tell him to come see Uncle.”

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister toured various activity booths, greeted children and their parents, and sat for photos with children on the stairs beside the Thai Koo Fah Building. Minister of Culture Sabida Thaiset also joined the activities.

After concluding the Children's Day event, the Prime Minister stopped at Sriyan to eat his regular noodle dish, where a vendor urged him to continue the Half-Half Plus program.

According to reporters, after finishing his duties at the 2026 Children's Day event at Government House, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, went to eat at his usual beef noodle shop in Sriyan. Customers and vendors there asked to take photos with him, mostly encouraging him to keep fighting.

At one point, a vendor told the Prime Minister, “We haven’t received the 2,400 baht yet. Please continue the Half-Half Plus program.”
