Phiphat is confident about establishing a stronghold in the three southern border provinces, noting strong momentum and aiming for a full sweep in Pattani. He expects more than two seats in Narathiwat and more than one seat in Yala. Thanakorn declared that Prime Minister Anutin and the 'Khon La Khrueng Plus' program are definitely coming.
On 10 Jan 2026 GMT+7 at Tan Yong Mas Market, Ra-ngae District, Narathiwat, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, the Southern Front commander of the Bhumjaithai Party (BJT), along with Chonlat Ratchakitprakarn, a party-list candidate, campaigned for Narathiwat candidates by walking through the area to meet and listen to feedback from merchants and locals. He expressed confidence that Narathiwat would place greater trust in the party than before and requested the opportunity for BJT representatives to serve in parliament to push forward concrete policies such as integrating agriculture with tourism to boost prices of rubber, palm oil, langsat, durian, and mangosteen. He aims to raise langsat prices at the farm gate to 50–60 baht per kilogram and to upgrade prices across agricultural products. Regarding the much-demanded return of the 'Khon La Khrueng Plus' program, he affirmed the party would strive to revive it, along with promoting the Chana Industrial Estate to support investment in data centers and halal industries, connecting agricultural and livestock products to viable markets. He also proposed utilizing idle land effectively, increasing Hajj quotas, and continuing efforts to reduce travel expenses.
Phiphat stated that since 2004, unrest in the southern region partly stems from "inequality," necessitating more tailored measures to the area's realities to achieve lasting peace. He expressed his willingness to act as a mediator to facilitate dialogue both domestically and internationally.
Later that afternoon, Phiphat visited Pattani Province, going to the conference hall of Prasan Witthaya Foundation School in Yarang District to support candidates' campaigns. Chonlat and Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, party-list candidates, also joined. They urged voters to support BJT candidates across all five districts: Baharudin Yuso (District 1), Kosi Mamu (District 2), Burhan Sameh (District 3), Arinchai Susara (District 4), and Sahemuhamad Alidrus (District 5). They also encouraged voting for BJT under number 37 to bring Anutin back as prime minister. They emphasized choosing Bhumjaithai to prove change; if the future does not improve, voters need not support them next time.
Phiphat said this visit revealed a clearly growing faith among the people with responses exceeding expectations. He is confident BJT will gain more seats and asked the community to reclaim the 30 years of lost opportunities to lead the southern border provinces toward stable, equal, and improved development in all dimensions.
Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, a party-list candidate, stated in a speech that the economy has suffered, referencing the "Uncle Clip" and border conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia. He said BJT, governing for two months, has achieved clearer results than the previous government of over two years. He believes the people of Pattani now agree that BJT’s policies are the most practical and effective, especially the 'Khon La Khrueng Plus' program and the minimum 3-baht electricity rate. He also highlighted the promise of free education, making quality education accessible to all Thai children. He said these will happen only if the prime minister is Anutin Charnvirakul.
Later, Phiphat was interviewed about his campaign promise in Narathiwat and Pattani to win all parliamentary seats in the provinces. He said that if he spoke openly, other parties might hesitate about contesting entire provinces, but personally he is confident BJT will establish a stronghold in all three southern border provinces—Pattani, Narathiwat, and Yala. He is sure Pattani will be won entirely by BJT, Narathiwat will gain more than two seats, and although Yala previously had no seats, after his New Year campaign visits, he is confident BJT will secure more than one seat there.
Regarding the final campaign rallies, he said they are coordinating with senior party members, especially the economic team, to visit and hold speeches in the three southern border provinces.
