On 11 January 2026, the NIDA Poll Center of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) released the results of a survey titled “First Round: Election Trend 2026.” The survey was conducted from 5-8 January 2026 among 2,500 citizens aged 18 and over, distributed across all regions, education levels, occupations, and income brackets nationwide, regarding the election trends for 2026.
When asked about the individual that people would support as prime minister today, the findings showed
Rank 1, at 24.76%, named Mr. Natthapong Rueangpanyawut (People’s Party).
Rank 2, at 20.84%, named Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul (Bhumjaithai Party).
Rank 3, at 14.12%, indicated they have not found a suitable candidate yet.
Rank 4, at 12.12%, named Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva (Democrat Party).
Rank 5, at 9.64%, named Mr. Yossanan Wongsawat (Pheu Thai Party).
Rank 6, at 5.04%, named General Rangsi Kittiyanatham (Economic Party).
Rank 7, at 2.64%, named Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan (Thai Sang Thai Party).
Rank 8, at 1.92%, named Mr. Julapan Amornwiwat (Pheu Thai Party).
Rank 9, at 1.84%, named Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul (People’s Party).
Rank 10, at 1.32%, named Mr. Peeraphan Saleerutwipak (United Thai Nation Party).
Other candidates, totaling 5.48%, included
