Election 2026: Sihasak, Supajee, and Ekniti teamed up with Supamas and Eknat to campaign early at Lumphini Park, seeking votes from Bangkok residents. They were pleased with the positive response and said all suggestions were helpful in clarifying the 10-Plus economic policy.
On 11 January 2026, at the King Rama VI Monument in Lumphini Park, Bhumjaithai Party (BJT) led by Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the party's prime ministerial candidate, along with Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and Ms. Supajee Sutthumpun, Minister of Commerce, representing the party's economic team, joined by two Bangkok leaders, Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi and Mr. Eknat Prompan, party list MP candidates, as well as Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa and Ms. Pitcharat Laopongchana, party list MP candidates, who campaigned for Bhumjaithai’s Bangkok MP candidates.
The atmosphere was lively, attracting the attention of people exercising in the park who asked for selfies and some gave roses as encouragement, especially to Mr. Ekniti, Ms. Supajee, and Mr. Sihasak. Citizens expressed hopes that they would return, praising the MPs and encouraging them to work diligently like Ms. Supajee. During the walk, Ms. Supajee also invited others to help pick up trash.
At 08:45, after canvassing for Bhumjaithai’s Bangkok MP candidates, Mr. Sihasak said the atmosphere was good. He spoke with both elderly and younger exercisers, seeing it as support for the candidates.
Ms. Supajee said this was her first day campaigning, and she enjoyed meeting people exercising at Lumphini Park. She felt happy seeing everyone smiling and, most importantly, healthy. She said that when citizens are happy, smiling, and healthy, the country can move forward with hope for all ages.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ekniti revealed this was his first time campaigning on the ground. He was glad to meet elderly people and younger exercisers and to hear their opinions. The party’s economic policy is 'Economy 10 Plus,' including 'Green Economy Plus' and 'Senior Plus.' Many said they liked 'Khon La Khrueng Plus' and suggested easier registration next time. For 'Senior Plus,' several elderly people advised smiling more, regardless of criticism or praise. This gave him an idea for a 'smile-rich' economic policy. Ms. Supajee then remarked, “Maybe we need a Smile Plus.”
“The key is the green economy. Hearing views from citizens of all ages was very beneficial. It helped clarify policies and maximize benefits for the public.”
Additionally, Mr. Ekniti spoke about the positive response from campaigning at Lumphini Park. Many expressed joy and asked for continued help, thanking them for supporting the country. He said they are fully committed because they want Thailand to improve, the economy to thrive, and people to be happy. Seeing smiles and healthy people made them glad about the good reception of Bhumjaithai Party’s policies, which are promises made and kept, earning public trust and a positive response.
