“Teng Natthapong” presents his vision for a People's Government focused on driving change. He reveals plans to serve as Prime Minister with a full administrative team and insists voters mark both People's Party ballots in this election. He also outlines 12 key missions, including revitalizing the 'fifth tiger' economy.
At 13:00 on 11 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the People's Party (P.P.) held a launch event. "People's Government" at Samyan Mitrtown Hall, where party leaders enthusiastically and collectively shared their vision for managing ministries should the People's Party lead the government formation.
Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party and the first prime ministerial candidate, said that with the country facing multiple crises, traditional governance and government formations can no longer advance the nation. This is the challenge for the People's Party—to establish a People's Government that dismantles limitations and becomes a government of change. They will design an executive team focused on mission-driven work to meet national challenges, prioritizing the nation's interests—meaning all Thai citizens. The People's Government will appoint personnel suited to their roles with knowledge and capability, creating a Thailand that is fair and equal and keeps pace with the world.
Mr. Natthapong further stated, that the People's Government administration will have two main structures: the Government House team and the ministerial teams. The Government House team will be the central coordinating hub, prioritizing and linking work across ministries. This team includes himself as the prime ministerial candidate and four deputy prime ministers responsible for different areas.
These deputies are: for democracy and security, Mr. Pichon Chaowapattanawong; for the economy, Mr. Weerayut Kanchuchat, the second prime ministerial candidate; for quality of life, Mr. Decharat Sukkamned; and for government reform, Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul. This structure is intended so deputies oversee broad major tasks without having to manage daily ministry duties, which allows the prime minister to focus on the big picture and coordinate among deputies.
Besides the Government House team, there will be ministerial teams led by the Government House team. Each ministry will manage its specific responsibilities under the supervision of the prime minister and deputy prime ministers. Personnel will be selected based on knowledge and suitability, able to work with civil servants, and trusted by the public. Political will will guide the work, combined with professional collaboration to build trust among all Thai people.
“In this election, enough of the saying that all choices are the same. I affirm this election will not be about whether to vote for Move Forward or People's Party and end up with the same old Thailand. This is the time to establish a People's Government—a government of change. I invite all Thai people on 8 Feb to mark both People's Party ballots and also approve the referendum.”
