He emphasized that traffic congestion must be addressed by placing utility lines underground and expanding road shoulders. Meanwhile, Airin pledged her readiness to serve the people of Lam Luk Ka.
At 6:00 p.m. on 11 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Lieutenant Colonel Thanathorn Phromphao, advisor to the Kla Tham Party and prime ministerial candidate, held a major campaign speech in Pathum Thani Province to support Airin Phanrit, the Kla Tham candidate for the 5th electoral district of Pathum Thani. A large crowd attended enthusiastically. The event opened with excitement as Thanathorn arrived riding Airin’s campaign motorcycle onto the stage amid applause and cheers from local residents.
Thanathorn then spoke about his political and administrative experience, especially his time as Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. He recalled recommending Airin to the cabinet for appointment as deputy government spokesperson, a role she performed well, proving herself a young person who dares to think and act, with real work experience—not just words on stage.
He addressed key problems in Pathum Thani, including chronic flooding and traffic congestion that residents have faced for decades. He stressed his direct experience managing water issues and noted that in 2025 he had firmly declared Pathum Thani would avoid a repeat of the 2011 flood crisis, thanks to water management in the Chao Phraya basin, accelerated drainage, and coordination with all relevant agencies, successfully controlling the situation as promised.
“Important roads in Lam Luk Ka area, especially Semaf Kram Road, have long suffered severe traffic jams. I propose concrete solutions: expanding road shoulders and relocating electrical poles and communication lines underground to increase roadway space. Additionally, developing canals alongside the road as part of an integrated drainage and transportation system will help solve both flooding and traffic issues simultaneously.”
He added that he has continuously met and coordinated with Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit Thupkrajang, President of the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, to address local problems. He acknowledged he may not be the most eloquent politician in parliament but is someone who understands facts and the daily lives of citizens. What he spoke about today is achievable, not empty promises. Many initiatives he mentioned before have already materialized. Although some may consider him eccentric, he is a person who dares to take action.
Toward the end of his speech, Thanathorn said this day is significant for the Kla Tham Party as it entrusts the future and descendants of Lam Luk Ka to them. He asked for support to elect Airin to represent the people, to promote development and implement tangible solutions to pressing problems.
Airin Phanrit spoke on stage, saying her decision to enter politics was not easy, as she is the only female candidate in the 5th district and her family worried whether she could withstand political challenges. However, she decided to proceed, believing women are equally strong as men and can serve the people fully. During her campaign, she has received warm support from residents, reinforcing her belief that sincere, grassroots politics still has space and hope. She affirmed that if entrusted by voters, she will genuinely serve Lam Luk Ka, listen to all problems, and push for solutions to flooding, traffic, livelihoods, and quality of life.
“I may not be the most eloquent politician, but I will be a hardworking representative who truly visits the community and never abandons the people. Please believe that this woman is ready to fight, work, and serve Lam Luk Ka to the best of her ability.”
