Sudarat led the Thai Sang Thai team campaigning in the Song Wat area, gathering with entrepreneurs to announce plans to unlock laws that block livelihoods and promote an SME fund with 1% interest to inject capital into small businesses, offering loans up to 5 million baht.
On 12 Jan 2026, reporters noted that on the evening of 11 Jan, Khun Ying Sudarat Keyuraphan, leader of the Thai Sang Thai party, visited the Song Wat area to meet with entrepreneurs and listen to business challenges in this rapidly growing creative economic zone. She exchanged views with owners of restaurants, cafes, and small accommodation businesses who highlighted major obstacles in renovating old buildings and navigating overly complex licensing procedures.
Khun Ying Sudarat views the Song Wat area as a model of success born from the hard work of the private sector. However, it faces limitations from outdated government regulations that do not support modern business operations. This causes entrepreneurs to lose growth opportunities and bear hidden costs from redundant coordination with government agencies, as well as difficulties in finding fair and accessible financing.
The Thai Sang Thai party therefore focuses on pushing policies to unlock laws that hinder small entrepreneurs by suspending over a thousand regulations obstructing SME growth. This shifts the government's role from controller and enforcer to full supporter, helping entrepreneurs in Song Wat and other economic zones across the country to operate more smoothly without worrying about rules that disadvantage them.
In addition to legal reforms, the party promotes establishing an SME fund to provide low-interest capital and advantages to new entrepreneurs aiming to add value to historic areas. This fund will allow businesses to borrow from tens of thousands up to 5 million baht depending on their size and type, with the key feature being a special low interest rate of just 1% per year and a grace period on principal payments to support cash flow during startup or expansion phases.
This visit reaffirms the party's commitment to strengthening the grassroots economy by breaking down legal barriers and providing truly accessible financial tools, enabling every economic district road in Thailand to develop sustainably.
