Supachai revealed that the Bhumjaithai Party is preparing to take legal action against Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyavet for false defamation intended to mislead voters about candidates' or parties' popularity, accusing land corruption at Khao Kradong and linking a 4 billion baht budget to Newin.
On 12 January 2026, Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, a party-list candidate for the House of Representatives and head of the legal task force of the Bhumjaithai Party, posted on his personal Facebook page that he would pursue legal action against Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyavet, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, for making false defamatory statements intended to mislead voters about the popularity of candidates or political parties, which is an offense under election law for House of Representatives members.
The post included an image of Pol. Gen. Seripisut with the statement: “Another party’s prime minister, the Khao Kradong land was corrupted; he became prime minister for two months and transferred 4 billion baht of our budget to help Newin organize motorcycle races.” Supachai added that these claims made by Pol. Gen. Seripisut are entirely false. The truth is:
1. The 4 billion baht budget is allocated to the Sports Authority of Thailand under the Budget Expenditure Act and is unrelated to Mr. Newin Chidchob. Furthermore, the budget has not yet been approved; it is only a preliminary agreement on the spending framework and principle approval.
2. Regarding the Khao Kradong land case, over 1,000 local residents hold legal title documents. There have been only a few civil lawsuits filed, and none have reached a final judgment. No one can predict the court's decision, but certainly, there is no case of fraud involved.
3. Pol. Gen. Seripisut’s statements constitute false defamation intended to mislead voters regarding candidates' or parties' popularity, which is an offense under the election law for House of Representatives members.
Supachai concluded by saying, "The Bhumjaithai Party will proceed with legal action against Pol. Gen. Seripisut for these offenses."
