Economic Party Launches Economic Advisory Board, Enlists Economics Experts to Shape Thailands Economic Development

The Economic Party has launched a 15-member economic advisory team, recruiting experts in economics. and the startup business sector to collaborate in defining Thailand's economic development direction.

Today, 12 Jan 2026 11:00 GMT+7, General Rangsee Kitiyanansap, leader of the Economic Party, together with Mr. Chris Potranan, party chairman responsible for policy, held a press conference at the Princeton Hotel to unveil the party's fifth policy, "Nation and Economy Transformation." This key economic policy aims to drive the country toward stable, sustainable growth and tangible reduction of economic inequality. They also introduced the party's 15-member economic advisory team, consisting of academics, experts, and experienced national economic figures, to jointly determine Thailand's economic development direction, including:

1. Police Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Saensuk Uthayanin a former police forensic officer with the Police Forensic Office.
She specializes in forensic work, especially DNA analysis.

She holds a PhD in Biological Science from Flinders University, South Australia, Australia.
She resigned from the police force in 2021, committed to justice and aims for politics to truly serve the people, upholding national security and sovereignty. Her expertise lies in DNA analysis and forensic science.

2. Associate Professor Dr. Kitti Limsakul

Education

Bachelor of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University.
Master of Economics (English program), Thammasat University.
Doctor of Economics, Nagoya University, Japan (Japanese government Monbusho Scholarship).

Experience
Lecturer, Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University (1979–1986).
Highest academic rank: Associate Professor, Level 9. Appointed Professor and project leader at Saitama University, Saitama, Japan (2016–2020).
Notable work: Developed the self-sufficiency policy “One Tambon–One Product (OTOP)” for the Thai Rak Thai government.

3. Dr. Chulabutr Khatancharoen
Expertise: Satellites, rare earth elements, natural resources, and applying space data for environmental management.

Master's degree from University of Tokyo (Advanced Agricultural Science Technology).

Expert on forest change and wildfires in Siberia (Russian Far East).

4. Apirat Khongchanakul Experienced executive and entrepreneur currently investing in startups in Thailand and Australia.

Held strategic management positions at Samsung Electronics, True Corporation, and Roland Berger.
Worked with McKinsey & Company.
Experience includes hedge funds in New York and Hong Kong, and the World Bank in Washington, D.C.
Expertise in Corporate Transformation, IoT, AI applications, and public policy.

First-class honors Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Mahidol University; Master's degrees from Columbia University (Fulbright Scholar) and University of Cambridge.

5. Dr. Akkarawet Chotinuramon
Education: PhD in Finance, University of Birmingham.
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Chulalongkorn University.

Roles: Real estate businessman, independent economics academic, financial educator.
Achievements: Founded the Arm’s Finance page; formerly part of the Kla Party economic team proposing “Gray Economy” and “Kla Green Deal” concepts; former Dean of the Business Administration Faculty at Rangsit University (2001–2002).

6. Dr. Panadda Leelaudomlipi
