Thanakorn campaigns actively, declaring that if Bhumjaithai leads the government, they will continue solving problems. He boasts that the Khon La Khrueng Plus program has been proven to be more worthwhile than the 10,000-baht digital cash handout. He reveals strong support in 14 southern provinces and is confident that Anutin will serve another term as prime minister.
On 12 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Minister of Industry and a party-list candidate for Bhumjaithai, campaigned at Chaoat Market in Chaoat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, supporting Sanan Piboon, candidate for Nakhon Si Thammarat Constituency 4. The event drew significant interest from shoppers at the market.
Thanakorn stated, "If in this election Bhumjaithai leads the government formation, the Khon La Khrueng Plus program, policies to raise agricultural product prices, and expanding market channels for seasonal fruits will be implemented immediately. Especially, the Khon La Khrueng Plus project effectively stimulates the economy and directly aids the people. Although Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s government originated the original Khon La Khrueng program and some parties previously criticized it, those same parties have now adopted it. Since they are copying it, an apology would be appropriate. It has now been proven that Khon La Khrueng Plus is a more worthwhile measure than the 10,000-baht digital cash handout."
Previously, Thanakorn campaigned in Khok Hriang Village, Khlong Hoi Khong District, Songkhla, supporting Anukun Pruksanusak, candidate for Songkhla Constituency 6, while listening to locals’ concerns about the longstanding landfill problem. Thanakorn said he would report this issue to the prime minister. He then spoke at a rally introducing Sastra Sripan, candidate for Songkhla Constituency 2, at the Market Makin Ta in Hat Yai District.
