Anutin Declares He Is Not a Trainee PM: Promises Best Version of Thailand If Given Four More Years

Anutin declared he is not a 'trainee prime minister.' He hopes that his achievements in three months will allow him to return as prime minister again. He assured that the Bhumjaithai government has no grey capital, rejects casinos and scammers, and if given another four years, Thailand will be seen in its best version yet.

At 13:40 on 12 Jan 2026 GMT+7. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, head of the Bhumjaithai Party and prime ministerial candidate, presented the Thailand Vision 2035 on Thai TV Channel 3, hosted by Mr. Sorrayuth Suthassanachinda. Also participating were Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party and prime ministerial candidate, and Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai Party’s prime ministerial candidate.

Anutin began his vision presentation addressing three topics: policies, management team, and leadership. He acknowledged that the public might feel skeptical, thinking it’s another campaign with grand promises that falter in practice, and that political party policies are often like sandcastles built only before elections. This is due to political instability. However, despite being in office only three months, his government has already achieved many things.

At one point, Anutin joked that many said 'success 37,' and he echoed 'we did 37' (a play on words with the party number 37), eliciting laughter in the room. He continued that success came through cooperation with all parties—government agencies, military, private sector, and even other political parties, with no enemies. He said he was not there to sell dreams or make promises that cannot be kept. Bhumjaithai’s policies may not be flashy or exciting, but they are promises that can actually be delivered.

The country must eliminate four types of threats to be stable.

Therefore, for the country to be stable, it must remove four threats from Thai people's lives: economic threats, security threats, disasters, and social threats. Bhumjaithai’s approach is not to pour money into populist projects. Thailand does not lack resources or talented people; what is lacking is an efficient, forward-thinking governance system. Thus, the question is not what more to give away, but rather, how to enable Thai people to stand firmly and independently. This is the origin of the 10 Plus policy. We do not focus on handing out fish but on providing fishing rods. We aim to take Thai people into new waters in the world.

Anutin further explained that security does not come solely from military strength but also from smart foreign policy combined with economic policy. This is why the National Security Council (NSC) has three pillars: defense, foreign affairs, and economic ministries. He emphasized safeguarding the nation’s borders to prevent invasion, drug smuggling, illegal labor, and contraband. The nation's security fence includes soldiers, weapons, and technology to prepare for threats along the borders.

He also mentioned the volunteer military policy with 100,000 positions, a 12,000 baht monthly salary, and a four-year term. During this time, training and career opportunities will be promoted to meet all parties’ needs. The military gains manpower and relevant policies. This win-win approach reflects Bhumjaithai’s style—no bitterness or conflict, just adjusted management. True security comes without war, which is the most sustainable form. Foreign affairs are prioritized, which is why Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew was chosen as another prime ministerial candidate for Bhumjaithai.

Bhumjaithai has no grey capital, no casinos, no scammers.

Bhumjaithai’s foreign policy is based on the phrase 'Thailand must be free,' meaning freedom from limitations and fear that the country is not big, rich, or powerful enough to negotiate or have a place on the world stage. Foreign policy must be grounded in dignity derived from self-respect and respect for international rules. This dignity comes from neither invading others nor allowing invasion. He believes the past two months have clearly shown how the Bhumjaithai-led government has brought Thailand to stand proudly on the world stage—not just as an option for other countries but as an indispensable partner.

A key message beyond policy is the professional management team. Policies, no matter how good, are wasted if handled by incapable people. In just three months, Bhumjaithai has shown readiness and speed in working. They have a clear strategy and work without constantly needing approval from others. The economy has put Thailand on the global radar.

. “Don’t talk about grey money anymore, because grey can be white or black. From now on, money without clear origin or suspicious is considered black money and must be fully suppressed. They say it’s grey, but there might be loopholes. I affirm that the Bhumjaithai government has no grey capital, only black capital that must be eradicated. Bhumjaithai has no casinos and rejects scammers.”

If given another four years, the best version of Thailand will be seen.

The Bhumjaithai prime ministerial candidate further stated, “I listen to the people constantly. I believe I have enough merit to receive full support from everyone. We are more than this. You know how closely our MPs take care of their constituents. If Bhumjaithai leads the government, we will build a Thailand dream team. I believe I have already surprised people when forming the special government that has worked for three months. This is just the beginning. If we continue for four more years, you will see the best version of Thailand, which we call Thailand Plus.”

Meanwhile, Anutin said he is not a 'trainee prime minister.' He has been in politics long enough to know how to ensure smooth governance. They are a professional team who love the nation, religion, and monarchy, ready to manage the country’s future. This election is about choosing either interest or security, a good future or risking a return to the same political problems.

“I trust the people's choice. Please vote for Bhumjaithai and all our MPs in every district, and you will see Thailand Plus Plus Plus.”

If you are satisfied with these three months, Minister Supachai Sutthammanoon, Minister of Commerce overseeing trade, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Akniti Nitithanprapas, who maintain fiscal discipline and financial security, and Mr. Sihasak, who implements foreign relations policies and diplomacy, ensure Thailand has never been at a disadvantage in international negotiations. Are you proud of how Anutin has made everyone proud of the country and being Thai? In the past three months, have you grown to cherish the land more? Are you glad Thailand has not lost even an inch of its territory? Give Bhumjaithai, number 37, the chance to continue serving. If you are not satisfied, there are other options beyond these two individuals. Thank you for giving me the chance to serve for three months, which was just a probation period, and I hope to pass the test.

Putting the country's interests above all else.

After the vision presentation, Mr. Sorrayuth asked if Anutin was using the Thailand-Cambodia border situation to gain political advantage and popularity. Anutin replied that it is the government's duty to protect sovereignty with all their might. Officials from the neighboring country told people not to vote for Anutin but for others. He said it is clear that if people choose him, the opposition will be defeated, they cannot take advantage of Thailand, nor threaten Thailand’s sovereignty. That’s why they don’t want him to be prime minister. So, he urged people not to fulfill their wish. He confirmed that the Anutin era will not open the border until the territorial integrity of Thailand is assured, with no enemies or outsiders daring to invade or threaten sovereignty.

Regarding Mr. Natthapong’s statement that he would no longer support Anutin, Anutin touched Natthapong's shoulder and said, “If you come first, you don’t have to support me. But if you come second, it’s not that serious yet. I think the three of us are close in age but share a strong love for the nation and country’s interests above all. We leave it for the people to decide.”

Mr. Sorrayuth pressed if Natthapong came first. Anutin answered that if Bhumjaithai is beneficial and its policies are good, they will talk as always. He never blocks anything. Elections must reflect the people's choice through both constituency and party-list MPs. He is confident they are on the right track.

He declined to comment on whether he would not rule out cooperation with other parties.

After the vision event, as Anutin was leaving, supporters greeted and encouraged number 37, wishing success. When asked about his statement on not blocking cooperation with other parties, Anutin waved and wished them success with 'three seven'—referring to Bhumjaithai’s party list number 37.
