Prime Minister Confident to Establish Stronghold in Capital After Visiting Bon Kai, Receives Support for Easy Victory

Anutin led a visit to Bon Kai, confident in establishing a stronghold in Bangkok by showcasing government achievements that have won the people's hearts. Residents cheered for an "easy win," affirming they will vote 100% for the party, mocking Cambodia's fear of his return as prime minister by encouraging support for other parties instead.

On 12 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, led his team to the Bon Kai community, receiving a lively welcome from vendors who praised the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" policy and expressed hope it would continue. Many residents confirmed they would vote 100% for Bhumjaithai, thanking the party for resolving issues on the Thai-Cambodian border.

Anutin responded with good humor, saying, "You don't have to give 100%, just number 37 will do." At one point, a disabled lottery vendor shared concerns about wanting increased welfare, which Anutin promised to incorporate into policy adjustments. He emphasized that Bhumjaithai works sincerely—not just for show—and has been active since before polls showed any traction, now rising to double digits.

Anutin revealed that the party's growth comes from close engagement and door-to-door visits, jokingly referring to their approach as "foot massage style." Today, he showed off a Thai-brand shoe bought at Chatuchak to demonstrate support for Thai products and reduce reliance on imports. The party's governance focuses not just on campaigning but on tangible results. He is confident that consistent, full commitment to grassroots outreach will enable the party to establish a stronghold in Bangkok.

Anutin also addressed comments by Kaew Remy, a senior Cambodian minister, who urged Thais to vote for the Pheu Thai or People's Party to avoid war. He stated Cambodia has no right to dictate or intimidate Thai voters on whom to choose. Thai pride and sovereignty run deep, and the public recognizes the party's proven record in defending sovereignty.

Anutin said the rhetoric warning that voting for him would spark a third war is actually due to Cambodia's fear of his potential return as prime minister. They want voters to support him again so he can demonstrate that Thailand will never allow anyone to infringe on its sovereignty. He stressed that Thailand only gains strength and respect from challengers, which is more important than any external negative talk.

"No one can claim victory over Thailand; only Thailand wins. But we do not intensify conflicts with anyone. The people know we have nothing to lose—only strength that commands respect," Prime Minister Anutin declared firmly.
