Prime Minister Delivers National Teachers Day Motto 2026: All Thais Are Students with Teachers

Prime Minister Anutin presented the 2026 National Teacher's Day motto: "All Thais are students with teachers," before a Cabinet meeting where he received orchid flowers to promote the 70th Teacher's Day event themed "The Monarch as Mother and Teacher of the Land."

On 13 January 2026, reporters reported that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has delivered the motto for National Teacher's Day marking the 70th occasion in 2026. National Teacher's Day is observed annually on 16 January. This year's motto reads "All Thais are students with teachers."

Earlier in the morning before the Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Anutin received orchid flowers to promote the 70th Teacher's Day event in 2026 from Deputy Minister of Education Ong-art Wongprayu, accompanied by Permanent Secretary of Education Suthep Kaengsantiea, Professor Dr. Amlawan Veerathammo, Secretary-General of the Teachers' Council, along with administrators, staff of the Teachers' Council Secretariat, education professionals, and student representatives.

The 70th Teacher's Day event in 2026 will be held on 16 January under the theme "The Monarch as Mother and Teacher of the Land" at the Teachers' Council auditorium, Teachers' Council Secretariat, Ministry of Education, and at Teacher's Day events nationwide. The event honors Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and promotes respect and recognition for education professionals who have contributed positively to education. It aims to raise public awareness, serve as a role model for future generations, instill pride in the teaching profession, and encourage students, university students, and the general public to acknowledge teachers' contributions by participating in Teacher's Day activities.

The "orchid" was designated as the official flower of Teacher's Day by the Teacher's Day organizing committee in 1996 because the nature of orchids resembles the educational work and life of teachers. Each orchid cluster blooms over a long time and requires careful attention, much like how each teacher patiently and diligently nurtures students one by one to help them grow and succeed.
