
Anutin Charnvirakul launched his southern election campaign starting in Krabi, concluding with a spiritual discussion with a prominent monk at Tiger Cave Temple to seek good fortune and maintain a key voter base.
At 16:00 on 13 January 2026 GMT+7 Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and prime ministerial candidate, began campaigning in the south, starting with Krabi province, one of Bhumjaithai’s key strongholds where it holds parliamentary seats. He was accompanied by his wife Thanon Niramis, Pipat Ratchakitprakarn as the southern campaign leader, and Sasithorn Kittitharakul, Bhumjaithai’s party-list MP candidate.
His first stop was Tiger Cave Temple in Krabi Noi Subdistrict, Mueang District, a sacred site and local landmark of Krabi. The cave was once a meditation retreat of Phra Ajarn Jamnian Silasettho, a revered and compassionate meditation master, whose spiritual merits form the core reason for worship here. Anutin arrived by private car, license plate Kor Kor 2121 Krabi. Upon arrival, he paid respects to Phra Thep Wachirakorn, also known as Phra Ajarn Chai, currently deputy head of Ecclesiastical Region 17 and acting abbot of Tiger Cave Temple. Afterwards, he invited the media to leave and held a private spiritual discussion with the monks.
