The Prime Minister gave a late-night order for the Secretary of the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre to urgently provide relief following the 11 explosions at PTT gas stations in southern Thailand.

On 14 January 2026, reporters reported that on 13 January at 10:00 p.m., Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, while arriving in Phuket Province, summoned Piyasiri Watthanawarangkura, Secretary of the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre (SBPAC), to report on the situation after simultaneous explosions occurred at 11 PTT gas stations in the southern border provinces, causing extensive property damage.

The Prime Minister ordered that alternative options be sought for those affected, such as providing temporary commercial spaces. He instructed relevant agencies to ensure rights and benefits beyond monetary compensation to alleviate initial hardships. Relief must be provided as quickly and urgently as possible, with fairness guaranteed. The completion date of the process must be specified, and the Prime Minister will personally monitor the situation daily.
