Anutin cycles through Phuket campaigning, assisting Ploy Thale in raising the blue flag. He promotes the Khon La Khrueng Plus policy. Locals praise his excellent work resolving border issues, urge not to open border checkpoints, and offer blessings for electoral victory with the highest number of MPs.
At 08:00 on 14 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, the party's southern regional commander, and Trisulee Traisornkul, Bhumjaithai party list MP candidate, visited the Kaset Market in Mueang District, Phuket, to support Ploy Thale Laksamisangchan, candidate for Phuket MP in constituency 1.
The atmosphere was lively, with residents and market vendors asking to take photos. Some remarked, “Seeing the real Prime Minister.” At times, some locals hesitated to approach, so Anutin invited them to join for photos, leading them to comment, “The real Prime Minister is more handsome than on TV.”
While campaigning, a vendor offered Anutin a pineapple, which he declined, returning it with a promise to buy later. Another vendor gave him a rose, held his hand, and said, “Our whole family will vote for you,” adding a plea not to open the border checkpoint. Anutin replied, “Think about other things; don’t worry or clutter your mind.” Also, a market vendor told Anutin, “Defeat the Cambodians decisively.”
At times, market vendors inquired about the Khon La Khrueng program. Anutin explained the Khon La Khrueng Plus policy, detailing its meaning and additional benefits.
While walking through the market, a local presented Anutin with a garland and wished him success in the election, hoping he would secure the most MPs.
Towards the end, Anutin mounted a bicycle decorated with the name and photo of the candidate. He raised four fingers, representing number 4, Ploy Thale’s candidate number, before cycling out of Kaset Market to continue campaigning.
This morning’s visit to Kaset Market in Phuket saw Anutin spending over an hour meeting residents before proceeding to pay respects at Phuket’s sacred local shrine, a cultural landmark of the city.
