New Election Commission Chairman and Spouse Hold Nearly 100 Million Baht in Assets, Credit Card Debt Just 90 Baht

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) revealed the assets of Narong Klunwarin, the newly appointed chairman of the Election Commission, showing wealth of 85 million baht. His wife owns nine plots of land and they have only 90 baht in credit card debt.


On 14 Jan 2026, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) disclosed the asset and debt statement of Mr. Narong Klunwarin, chairman of the Election Commission, upon taking office on 30 Aug 2025. Mr. Narong and his spouse, Mrs. Charinphat, reported combined assets totaling 85,099,109 baht and debts of 4,430,244 baht.

Mr. Narong's assets amount to 22,282,074 baht, comprising six bank accounts holding 10,163,217 baht, investments in various mutual funds worth 4,541,356 baht, six plots of land in Nong Chok district, Bangkok, and Ban Bueng district, Chonburi province, totaling 3.25 million baht, buildings and constructions valued at 2.75 million baht, vehicles worth 500,000 baht, rights and concessions valued at 700,000 baht, and other assets worth 377,500 baht. He has no debts.

His annual income totals 2,256,480 baht, including a salary of 966,480 baht, position allowance of 510,000 baht, monthly representation allowance of 510,000 baht, bank deposit interest of 50,000 baht, dividends from stock holdings of 20,000 baht, and capital gains from stock sales of 200,000 baht. His annual expenses total 560,000 baht, consisting of 360,000 baht for personal expenses and 200,000 baht supporting his mother.

Mrs. Charinphat's assets total 62,817,034 baht, including 13 bank accounts with 2,702,954 baht, investments in cooperative savings and digital government lottery bonds amounting to 2,591,900 baht, nine plots of land in Roi Et, Nakhon Nayok, Pathum Thani provinces, and Bang Kapi district totaling 47,228,500 baht, buildings and constructions worth 8.96 million baht, vehicles valued at 600,000 baht, and other assets worth 733,680 baht. She has debts including a Krungthai Bank loan of 4,430,154 baht and credit card debt of 90 baht. Her annual income is 425,984 baht, consisting of a salary of 423,925 baht and bank deposit interest of 2,059 baht. Her annual expenses total 378,016 baht, including 120,000 baht for personal expenses, 203,400 baht for condominium installments, and 54,616 baht for life insurance premiums.

Notable other assets of the couple include two Rolex watches valued at 800,000 baht, two gold necklaces worth 80,000 baht, five gold-encased Buddha amulets valued at 30,000 baht, two rubies worth 60,000 baht, one onyx gem valued at 15,000 baht, and two pistols valued at 66,180 baht.
