AMLO Proposes Court Order to Transfer 158 Million Baht of Chonnapat and Associates to State Ownership

The AMLO Transaction Committee resolved to petition the court for an order to transfer 158 million baht in assets belonging to “Chonnapat Naksua” and associates in an online gambling case to state ownership, after considering requests to revoke the seizure and freezing of the assets and finding them unsubstantiated.

On 14 Jan 2026, the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) announced the results of the Transaction Committee meeting No. 1/2569 held on 12 Jan 2026. The committee resolved to take action on assets related to narcotics, corruption in public office, fraud against the public, habitual fraud, electronic gambling, and other predicate offenses, summarizing notable operations.

Among these was the decision to forward cases to prosecutors to file petitions requesting court orders to transfer assets to state ownership in 17 cases involving over 492 items worth approximately 769 million baht, due to the review of requests to revoke the seizure and freezing of assets of involved parties found insufficient evidence to accept that the temporarily seized and frozen assets were unrelated to criminal acts.

One notable case among these involves Mr. Chonnapat Naksua. He is currently a candidate for Member of Parliament for Songkhla from the Kla Party in the case involving a group jointly operating electronic gambling on the website www.gimi88.com and others. The Transaction Committee resolved to forward the case to prosecutors to file petitions requesting court orders to transfer 69 asset items belonging to Mr. Chonnapat and associates to state ownership. (Including cash, vehicles, land, securities accounts, and funds in bank deposit accounts). With an estimated value of approximately 158 million baht. (Order No. ย.286/2568)
