Yotsanan Confident of Sweeping All 16 Korat Districts, Dismisses Third-Place Party Rumors, Insists Internal Polls Show No. 1

Yotsanan is confident that Pheu Thailand will sweep all 16 districts in Korat, disregarding rumors of being the third-ranked party. He insists the party's internal polls still place it first and hints at refusing to ally with the 'gray' party.

On 14 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thailand's prime ministerial candidate, visited Non Sung district to express confidence in winning all 16 parliamentary seats across Nakhon Ratchasima province, reclaiming areas from the orange and blue parties. He noted that former MPs switching parties would not affect the outcome, as the "new blood" candidates are highly capable and propelled by the party's strong policy framework.

Yotsanan responded to analysts suggesting Pheu Thailand has fallen to third place by stating he never accepted this view, because the party’s internal surveys clearly show it remains number one in the hearts of voters in many areas. He added that public polls are merely samples. He reiterated the stance that any future governing coalition must consist of honest, non-corrupt groups unconnected to gray business interests, to lead the country beyond conflict.

Regarding constitutional amendments, Yotsanan reaffirmed his original position that reforms must come from a government elected by the people to build international confidence. He stressed reform in three main areas: public administration, the justice system, and reducing inequality, with a firm deadline not to touch chapters 1 and 2 under any circumstances.

In response to the crane collapse accident at the high-speed rail construction site in Sikhiu district, Yotsanan expressed deep condolences to the victims. He ordered Mr. Prasert Chantraruangthong, the party secretary-general, to immediately visit hospitals to coordinate aid and closely care for the injured. Plans are underway to set up temporary shelters if residents are adversely affected.
