Introducing Isariya Pairipairit, a member of the People’s Government management team for the new economy, who aims to reform politics alongside building a creative economy.
On 14 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the People’s Party (Pop Party) unveiled its “People’s Government Management Team” as part of the The Professionals campaign, including Isariya Pairipairit, ranked fifth on the party-list MP candidates, serving as the new economic management team member.
Isariya said he has extensive experience in the private sector and business, and is well-prepared. He expressed a genuine intention to change Thailand, focusing on key issues of state reform. The party’s early announcement of its management team signals a new step showing Thai politics may move beyond old patterns. Previously, governments formed by various parties allocated ministerial quotas separately, negotiating positions and then working independently. He believes this model no longer works.
He noted this is a widely recognized problem: despite Thailand’s many strengths, a major weakness lies in government operations, which work in silos with each ministry acting independently. When ministers come from different political parties, policy and information coordination suffer. Over two decades of political crises, this has led to a lack of stable governments.
Unstable governments not only weaken politics but also reduce foreign investment confidence. Thailand’s good assets lack opportunities to shine on the global stage. This explains why political reform and creative economic development must advance simultaneously.
Isariya said one reason he joined the People’s Party is because he sees hope. Thailand still has many good foundations but lacks good governance. This election is crucial for deciding the country’s future. If the government and national leadership are transparent and effective, and if the foundations are set correctly, then state mechanisms and private companies will follow suit.
“If the government is free of corruption, works efficiently, and understands the private sector, I believe businesses can reduce costs significantly, avoid under-the-table payments, and approvals will be faster. Confidence will return, both from Thai and foreign businesses. If the government starts right, there is still hope—it’s not too late. We have not reached the point of state failure. I believe recovery is possible,” Isariya said.
Isariya Pairipairit, nicknamed “Mark,” holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Kasetsart University and a master’s degree in Information Science from the UK. He co-founded Blognone, a leading Thai IT news and community website, and later co-founded Brand Inside, a business news site. He also served as Vice President of Public Affairs at LINE MAN Wongnai after the company acquired Blognone and Brand Inside.
Isariya resigned from his executive roles at LINE MAN Wongnai and limited his involvement with Blognone to occasional unpaid articles to avoid conflicts of interest and focus on politics. He then fully entered politics by joining the People’s Party as its fifth-ranked party-list MP candidate and was introduced as part of the People’s Government management team for the “new economy” under The Professionals campaign. His focus is on promoting digital strategy, the creative economy, and economic structural reforms linked to technology.
Isariya previously faced controversy during the primary candidate selection process, encountering opposition from some rider network groups over his attitudes and labor management on the LINE MAN platform during his executive tenure. He failed to secure the primary candidacy in Chonburi province. However, when the People’s Party announced its party-list MPs, Isariya retained the party’s trust to oversee economic and technology policies.
