2026 Election: The voter list is now available for checking which district and polling station you must vote at, as well as the exact date for casting your ballot, simply by entering your 13-digit national ID number.
On 15 January 2026, the Election Commission (EC) explained that on Sunday, 8 February 2026, voters must identify themselves twice to receive both the parliamentary ballot and the referendum ballot. The voting process will be similar to general or local elections, beginning with checking the parliamentary ballot list, receiving the ballot, and voting in the booth. After completing the parliamentary vote, voters check the referendum list, receive the referendum ballot, and cast their vote. Voters should allow sufficient time to prepare, as failure to vote in any election type will result in legal restrictions on their rights.
Citizens can enter their 13-digit national ID number and verify their eligibility through two channels as follows:
1. Check parliamentary voting eligibility at:
2. Check referendum voting eligibility at:https://boraservices.bora.dopa.go.th/election/enqelectionpm/
Additionally, eligible voters can check parliamentary and referendum election information via the Smart Vote application, available starting today.
1. Parliamentary constituency ballot (green)
Purpose: To select your preferred candidate as the parliamentary representative for your district.
Ballot features: Contains candidate numbers and checkboxes (usually without candidate names or party logos).
How to mark: Put an X in the box corresponding to the number of your chosen candidate; only one choice allowed.
2. Parliamentary party-list ballot (pink)
Purpose: To select the party you support, which will determine the allocation of party-list parliamentary seats.
Ballot features: Displays party numbers, logos, and party names clearly.
How to mark: Put an X in the box of your chosen party; only one party selection allowed.
3. Referendum ballot (yellow)
How to mark: Put an X in the box for either "approve" or "disapprove" only; only one selection permitted.
For the constitutional amendment referendum, voters may request to vote outside their registered district but only within a different province from their registered residence. Voting will occur simultaneously nationwide on the single day of 8 February 2026. The yellow ballot asks: "Do you approve the adoption of the new constitution?" Voters mark "approve," "disapprove," or leave blank to abstain. This will take place only on 8 February 2026.
Voters are reminded not to tear ballots, as this is illegal, and must not mark symbols other than an X in the designated box; otherwise, the ballot will be invalid.
