Sudarat Urges Government to Expedite Aid for War Refugees, Demands Definitive Action if Clashes Occur

Khunying Sudarat visited Roi Et to honor hero Sergeant James, supporting a firm stance against Cambodia to prevent border incursions. She emphasized that if clashes occur, they must be decisively resolved to eliminate threats. She also urged the government to expedite income compensation for villagers fleeing the war.

On 15 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party, traveled to Ban On Temple in Roi Et Province to lay a wreath at the monument of hero Sergeant James, or Corporal Jirayu Sing-on, a brave soldier who sacrificed his life during a clash at the Thai-Cambodian border. She paid tribute to his steadfast duty in defending Thai soil until his last moment, emphasizing that this loss serves as a lesson for the government to provide the best welfare for veteran soldiers and those who sacrificed. The Thai Sang Thai Party pledged to support and stand by the families of heroes, ensuring they are not left alone.

During a meeting with the people, Roi Et residents expressed their desire for Thai Sang Thai Party to take a firm stance against Cambodia, especially regarding the recurring border disputes causing repeated losses. Khunying Sudarat affirmed her clear position supporting decisive resolution of border issues to protect sovereignty. She said if violations or clashes occur again, they must be conclusively dealt with to prevent ongoing threats to people's security. Additionally, she proposed urgent measures to compensate villagers displaced by war, urging the government to deliver full and speedy reparations to alleviate the hardships of those in border areas.

Furthermore, the public showed strong opposition to certain political parties that risk dragging Thailand back into renewed conflicts or endless fighting caused by personal disputes among some politicians failing to reach agreements, resulting in the nation and its people suffering the consequences of ongoing internal strife.

At the end, Khunying Sudarat asked for votes from Roi Et residents to trust and elect the three candidates from the Thai Sang Thai Party: Mr. Prateep Soda for District 6, Mr. Chatchawan Paethayathai for District 7, and Mr. Nara-ek Kham Sanam for District 8 to serve in the parliament. She emphasized that all are hardworking individuals who will not disappear once elected. She highlighted the achievements of Mr. Chatchawan Paethayathai, who fought for farmers to receive 1,000 baht per rai in harvest compensation and has been a voice addressing flood and drought issues. She expressed confidence that these three leaders will help people in Isan become debt-free, prosper, and achieve sustainable stable incomes.
