Natthapong launched a campaign in Sakon Nakhon calling for national change, warning that voting the same way will result in the same ministers, and promoting a "People's Government" to dismantle the patronage system. On 16 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, the prime ministerial candidate for the Prachachon (People's) Party, continued his tour of the northeastern region. Most recently, he spoke at a major rally in Kusump District, Sakon Nakhon Province, to support Mr. Phasaphon Ulanakul, candidate for Member of Parliament for Sakon Nakhon Constituency 2, while announcing a strategy to transform the country's future through the 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7 election.
Natthapong used the party's "inverted triangle" symbol to explain the core of building an equal Thailand. He stated that the country has long been governed by a system where the wealthy and well-connected access state services better than ordinary people. Examples include public health where the poor must wake at 4 a.m. to queue all day for treatment, or poor-quality tap water—both reflecting that the people's voices have never been prioritized.
"Ordinary people without influence or connections are oppressed daily. Our logo means empowering the people to be sovereign in their land, because until now the people's voices have never been on top, as we have never had true democracy," Natthapong said.
On stage, Natthapong criticized old politics that focus on gathering MPs to compete for ministerial quotas to exploit taxpayers, and declared adherence to the path of Mr. Tiang Sirikhun, former Sakon Nakhon MP and a revered political figure who truly fought for the people. He affirmed that the Prachachon Party will neither switch sides nor change stances for power, upholding the principle "say what you do, do what you say."
At the end, Natthapong urged citizens to exercise their voting rights both for parties and individuals, to elect him as the 33rd prime minister. He emphasized that this election will not have the Senate's interference in the prime minister vote, making it a golden opportunity for the people to determine their own future. This election decides the type of ministers you want: choosing the same way means the same ministers, but choosing differently will produce a People's Government that works for all and builds a progressive Thailand together.
