Julphan leads a campaign team in Bueng Kan Province, appealing to villagers to support Pheu Thai across the entire province. He also declared victory over poverty this year through the "A Poverty-Free Thailand" policy.
On 16 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the Pheu Thai Party campaigned in the Northeastern region at Bueng Kan Province, led by Mr. Julphan Amornwiwat, leader of the Pheu Thai Party and prime ministerial candidate, along with Bueng Kan MP candidates: Mr. Phumiphan Boonmatun, candidate for District 1, number 2; Ms. Monrudee Chandang, candidate for District 2, number 2; Mr. Nipon Khonkayun, candidate for District 3, number 5; and the team. They held a speech at Bueng Kan School in Mueang District, Electoral District 1.
The Pheu Thai team included Mr. Anusorn Iamsaad, party executive committee member and party-list MP candidate; Mr. Sutin Klangsaeng, party-list MP candidate and former Minister of Defence; and Mr. Nanat Hongchuwet, party-list MP candidate.
Mr. Julphan said today they are confident in leading the government formation, with a key strength being their prime ministerial candidate, Professor Dr. Yossanan Wongsawat, who is knowledgeable and has conducted beneficial research for people with disabilities. He participates in debates without conflict and presents only beneficial policies.
"We do not want disputes. We want to move forward with national development. Dr. Chen Yossanan is a crucial figure and the sole candidate who can lead the country to prosperity and out of conflict," he said.
Mr. Julphan said that since former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra declared war on poverty, now Thaksin's nephew, Chen Yossanan, with the policy "A Poverty-Free Thailand," aims to declare victory over poverty this year. The government will top up the income of those below the poverty line (earning less than 3,000 baht per month) to a full 3,000 baht monthly, helping them escape hardship, especially the elderly and bedridden patients.
Mr. Julphan added there is also a policy to assist farmers with coupons to buy fertilizer and seeds. Officials will inspect soil quality in farms to identify mineral deficiencies. The government will provide up to 250 kg of fertilizer per person, and another coupon will offer 150 kg of seeds, helping reduce production costs.
"In Bueng Kan, we once secured the entire province, but last time we missed it and only Mr. Nipon remained. He works hard for Bueng Kan, dedicating his efforts to establishing a drug problem-solving center and advancing community development. Today, we ask residents to elect Pheu Thai MPs for all of Bueng Kan: choose Phumiphan, number 2; choose Paew Monrudee, number 2; and choose Nipon Khonkayun, number 5," he said.
