Pita Tours Europe to Rally Thai Abroad for 2026 Election, Emphasizing Their Role in Nations Future

Pita is touring Europe, visiting London, Berlin, and Paris to energize Thais abroad for the 2026 election, highlighting their role in shaping the country's future.

On 16 January 2026, Mr. Pita Limjaroenrat, former leader of the Move Forward Party, and Ms. Kulthida Rungreungkiat, former deputy leader of the Future Forward Party, announced plans to continue their overseas tour. They will travel to three major European cities—London, Berlin, and Paris—to meet and hear from Thais living abroad after completing engagements in the United States in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.

Mr. Pita revealed that Thais in Europe show very high political engagement, as seen in 2023 statistics with over 30,000 registered voters, especially in London where registration rose to 8,630. He plans a meet-and-greet event at Birkbeck, University of London on 17 January 2026 at 16:00 local time to exchange views and answer questions about Thailand's political landscape after the 8 February referendum.

Mr. Pita said the core of this tour is to propose shifting the government's role from occasional care to sustainable connection through key policies: National ID to develop a digital identity system facilitating access to state services from abroad; worldwide Thai labor care centers to protect rights, welfare, and provide emergency/legal support; and a knowledge platform to connect Thai talents globally to contribute concretely to national development.

Mr. Pita emphasized that the purpose of the tour is to listen to problems to push forward policies that truly address the lives of Thais wherever they are in the world, affirming that "Thais abroad" are a vital part of building a new future for Thailand.
