Prime Ministers Relaxed Campaign Stop Includes a Shave and a Playful Warning from Locals

Anutin campaigned in a relaxed manner in the Bang Kapi area, where locals jokingly cautioned, “If you become Prime Minister, don’t eat orange cake,” before he stopped for a shave to freshen up.

On 16 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with party leader Supamas Isarapakdi, visited Klong Chan Flats in Bang Kapi district to support parliamentary candidate Thitiphas Chotidetchainan’s campaign. Anutin greeted residents and children warmly and inquired about “grilled pork neck” from a local som tam (papaya salad) vendor.

During the visit, Anutin stopped at a mobile medical service point to have his blood pressure measured, which was 132/83, within the normal range. He then energized the crowd by shadowboxing, signaling his good health and readiness to work hard. Residents expressed happiness to see him in person, to which the prospective Prime Minister replied cheerfully, “How could you see me in person otherwise?”

An interesting moment occurred as Anutin was about to leave; a local shouted loudly, “If you become Prime Minister, don’t eat orange cake,” which brought smiles and laughter to those present. Afterwards, Anutin sampled some preserved plums and purchased iced coffee to cool down.

He then proceeded to Ramkhamhaeng Market, where many people queued to take photos. In a surprise move, he entered a men’s barbershop to get a shave. The barber admitted feeling very excited, as it was his first time wielding a razor to shave the beard of someone at the Prime Ministerial level.
